Crowd is right.

Damn straight. There is too much talent on the Knicks for this to be happening. The team isn't synchronized or motivated enough.

you could make the argument that the players should be able to motivate themselves. but there is no excuse for how often they look completely unprepared

WE need less talent............. that argument always makes me laugh!

It's almost as funny as the "WE NEED TO STOCKPILE AS MUCH TALENT AS POSSIBLE" argument.

I find it pathetic how some posters try their best to deflect the problems of this team, to basically a rookie who saved this season...

News flash.. lin will make mistakes, he will miss shots.... he will look like a rookie at times.. but this kid is giving max effort and even with the mistakes, plays with more brain than our so called stars who don't play a lick of defense...

trade deadline in 4 days.... I would rather make the right trades to fix this mess, even if it means tossing this season... which is done anyway..

No, No , NO don't give him credit for saving the season and in the same breath say he has no blame???? Dude is getting way to much turn overs!!!!
Maximum effort??? Did you see him getting over screams????? The whole team is to blame so stop blaming Melo stop Blaming Stat and praising Lin!!!

it is easy to say the whole team is to blame.. LOL.. it defelects off the real problem... sorry, I am not buying what you are selling....

That's great I'm not buying what you are selling. New Yorkers namely sports fans are so fickle! We have a nice 8-1 run against weak teams, only 2 good team the Lakers and Mav, and now we need to change the whole team towards this unproven player? I said it to my friends years ago and I'll say it again, I love NY but, Why would anybody want to play for these fans??? They are not loyal they just turn on you for the new flavor of the month!!!!

When have we won something with Melo? You know why people would love to change the team towards this unproven player? Because with him they finally saw why MDA was considered an offensive genius of a coach and started to believe that it was finally, after so many seasons, their time. You know what? I'd rather have Linsanity again and go through ups and downs than have these supposed stars come in, set a bad example on defense and believe they are so big, bigger than the game, that they need to have the offense adapted to them than fit into what was evidently working.

Lin wasn't the flavor of the month, but the plate this fanbase had been waiting for years. He defined NY- gritty player that arrived, humble and a hard worker, and believed in the plan, making others around him believe too and play with fire. The team believed in Lin and it paid dividends immediately. Even Amar'e came back and fit in. Sure, his defense hurt us, but we still fought back. The Melo comes in, with the need of his isos and with the offense having to go through him. No double team is an obstacle for him even if he misses more of those contested shots than he makes them. Yeah, he also brought his sleepy defense. Since he is the big name, you change your style for him. Results?

2-7 and going south.

If Lin was the flavor of the month, Melo is the regular dish that ruins the restaurant.

Wasn't Davis the savior? Now Lin is the savior? Give it a break a lot went right for Linsanity to happen manly him getting super star calls. That has gone away and so has Lin. This guy is a good starting PG but now what some of you are saying he is. Face it you will never ever see Linsanity again!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA really dude?

Where were you during Linsanity? Wow, you certainly missed it!

Now, since you didn't get the point, let me recap:

Linsanity was more than just Lin playing well. It was the whole team buying to the system, playing it to perfection and working so hard on defense that we built that streak. Lin isn't a superstar, and the beauty of it is he doesn't have to. He simply has to run the system and have his teammates' backs. Wonder why it all came to a sudden stop when Melo came back?

And don't get me wrong, Melo is a very good player, mainly a great scorer. But he is clearly not fit for this system. So you either trade him or lose MDA, but the second one means giving up the year.

Pisses me off when Melo plays such good defense and causes him to throw so many turnovers and hoist so many air balls. Caused me to pull all my hairs out and now I only have 2 hairs left which really hurts my pull-over.

Melo stole it! Bastard!

You really need to cut this out. Melo is a HUGE part of the reason we gave up a 16 point lead in Q3. Killed our offense, went ISO, and low percentage scoring. Quit trying to take it out on rookie trying his best to keep us in the game. You want to win you need to hold your highest paid players accountable.

Yup. Most cerainly! It was Melo's fault that he was benched when he was smoking! WTF WAS THAT??

Its MDA!!!
Its BD
Its AMARE
Its Lin
Its JR
Its Shump
Its Melo

Sick of people saying its Melo because ... WE WENT 8-1 WHEN HE WAS OUT! And now teams have been watching tape and we have to re-adjust. But lets all keep blaming Melo.

When Novak hit 4 3s in a row and helped us take the lead and MDA benched him to bring Melo back who was like 2-12 from the floor 2 or 3 games ago did you have the same reaction and indignance about benching Novak?

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I hate when Novak is hot and suddenly, he's back on the bench because Melo needs his minutes.

Novak has nothing to do with Melo.

If you are a good coach with at least medium size balls, then you play who's hot and sit who's not. I don't give a sh1t who they are.
