I think he has been doing a good job bringing Lin along slowly....contrary to what many on these boards think. Lin is starting to look ready... I don't understand your point. I'm only stating what actually took place and why a coach would want to ease a kid into the pressure cooker of NY Basketball. The team is struggling and fans want heads to roll. This kid is just trying to latch on in the NBA. He's never had any success in the league. Lin's career stats: 2.8 ppg and 1.6 asts. It's just BS to try and find fault with how MDA handled this kid. He did the same thing with Shawne last year. He's been pretty consistent in how he goes about making his moves. He admitted to rushing MOZ and maybe after that he decided to take it slow even if the kid looks great in practice. |

I don't have msg but there is a daily twitter feed after Knicks practice and I watch it but I haven't heard any of the things you speak of. My understanding was that Lin was brought up from the d-l to scrimmage.GustavBahler wrote:nixluva wrote:s3231 wrote:Kudos to D'Antoni as well for playing him extensively tonight. I think he has been doing a good job bringing Lin along slowly....contrary to what many on these boards think. Lin is starting to look ready... My point is that its always someone else's fault for the team's poor performance, but when something goes right, anything, D'Antoni gets a large share of the credit in your book. You should go back and read some of your sweeping statements lately about this board's collective understanding of the game, and you're still at it. Through all the losing streaks, the poor substitution patterns, the lack of motivational skills, going back to the same failed strategies again and again, its never about the coach. So when you start crowing about D'Antoni's secret plan to develop Lin (which only you seem to know about), it feels like yet another case of "heads I win, tails you lose". |

![]() Jordan Williams is going to be a very very solid NBA player--was impressed by him. We could use that type of player coming off the bench and insurance for Amare.
