it's ludicrous comment time again. Marcus Williams was the best player in college last year and shouldve gone second in the draft behind Tyrus Thomas. I dont care if you take the pick on talent alone, but when you have such a radically high skill player on the board you take him and work things out later. for those who think balkman is a better choice because somehow he is a better fit, get your head out of your arse. The Knicks will win games this year, they will be better--but its an incoherent plan and Isiah is a low-class dude. People tend to over-analyze thinsg that are obvious--on top of it we GAVE the Nets a better team + they have more size upfront coming in during the year that can play on this team.

I know that. But the rather obnoxious and somewhat jealous dialogue that I read during the thread is annoying and boring--somehow we have to justify that marcus isnt what he is showing and that balkman is the second coming--of what i dont know yet.

Trying to justify us not taking Marcus by trying to down him as a player is stupid. I agree... But posting everytime he plays well about how stupid we were to pass on him when he had absolutely no place on this team is almost as bad... It just wouldent have worked my friend.. Accept it

Read it over again. All that stuff is a reaction to the guys who get positively giddy watching Marcus make a play because in their eyes it's another opportunity to trash the Knicks.

Marcus impressed tonight. He is really good at running that offense. This was a good game and the team fought hard. We, however, still are making too many turnovers and Q still is not hitting his 3s which concerns me. Otherwise, we had a chance against a very good Nets team. And, Francis was like WOW. He really showed me he had heart tonight.

But the real question is what is up with Marbury? How do you let a rookie basically punk you the whole game and not really go after him. Marbury grow some damn b**lls and start playing to win. Marbury was really just playing his normal game when it was clear the situation called for him to take it up another level. I think IT left him out there in the 4th to see what he would do at the end and Marbury just disappeared in the clutch. I was really disappointed in Marbury's play tonight. His stats were good, but he game was not what was needed and he can do more.

Overall the team needs work but showed promise.

It's not a rip on the Knicks, it's plain reality. I guess Isiah didn't like Marcus's mother or one stupid act in college did the trick! Like Yoda would say--make New Jersey better he did. According to the basketball scouts on this forum it wsa just another lucky game by MW:)
