It doesn't matter. The season isn't only two months. The season is 82 games. Every game counts the same during the regular season, and guess what, both the Rockets and Nuggets have more loses when compared to our Knicks here in 2012-2013. Denver has two more loses while Houston has 7 more loses when compared to our Knicks.

And yes, dating back to 12/24 of 2012 we've gone 12-13 overall during our previous 2 months. But, lets not act as if Houston hasn't gone 17-15 dating back to 12/24 of 2012 ala 2 months. We'll be .500 during our previous 26 games (with a win tonight) while Houston's only two games above .500 during their previous 32 games.

It's laughable, these guys ignore Houston's loses so often, where it's came to the point where these guys don't even know how often Houston has lost. But yet...

Yes it does.

Because every poster has his/her own personality as a sports fan.

If you're going to create a new user name, and then return, Knick posters (such as myself) have that right to ask what his/her previous user name was.

So once again, who was 3G4G before changing his user name?

Denver and Houston are allowed to lose because they are young.

Truth is Houstons cap situation is screwed for summer 2014 due to all those poisin pill contracts. Guess who will have cap space when Lin becomes available? The Knicks.

Denver has no Harden type player and they are loaded down with contracts. Atlanta Hawks 2.0.

Wrong those were both bad losses but here's the kick..... Houston and Denver haven't been playing a bad 2mos stretch of basketball we have. Also you 2 knuckle heads consider Knicks CONTENDERS now ask yourself do you consider the Rockets and Denver the same? The obvious answer is NO! Then CHECKMATE on how the losses look. What can be taken seriously is how emotionally unstable the 2 of you are after bad performances by us. To keep things fair and objective though...

Houston losing to Wizards=Bad Loss
Denver losing to Wizards=Bad Loss
Knicks losing to Wizards=Bad Loss

First off dont call me a knucklehead. Dont act "brand new" just because you got a new screen name.

This isnt the NBA forum man. The comment was directed about those who want to talk about the greatness of Denver and Houston everytime they win and disappears when they lose. It's lame. Same people who come out of the shadows after every Knicks loss and you never seem them post after a Knick win.

Knicks have been bottom feeders for over a decade. You cant rebuild forever. 2 more season and we will have cap space again. So I dont understand all the crying and complaining about Denver and Houston having a brighter future than us.

the knicks are purportedly built to win now. yes or no?

this means they are contenders and are supposed to be considered on the same level as teams that have a history of success, such as the heat, spurs, thunder-- and then the other teams that look like they should be part of the conversation like memphis and the clips and indiana. yes or no?

can you honestly say the knicks belong in that conversation? because to hear you start talking about preparation for 2015-- you cannot be serious-- it sounds like you are conceding any chance of genuine success, like a strong conference finals appearance. not a second round woodson sweep special but well beyond that. not a "melo led us to the playoffs only to be bounced in the first round" extravaganza either.

meanwhile houston and denver are NOT built to win now. but did you know that the nuggets are projected to win more games than the knicks at this point?

http://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/playoff_prob.cgi

did you also note that melo's TS% has, as predicted, regressed and is now at 55.9? you do understand that as he grows less efficient-- a given against the fiercer competition and the more arduous schedule-- that he will regress back to his less than mediocre 54.5%TS?

more shots on less efficiency is a guarantee of underachievement.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Issues? Why? Because I don't fit your agenda? This thread is about teams outside of the Knicks, right?

So when a fan states that "The Rockets haven't played a bad two month streth of basketball", I can't state actual facts?

Houston has only gone 17-15 dating back to 12/24 of 2012 ala 2 months.

But since fans around here only go off "recent trends" have or haven't the Rockets gone 10-13 during their previous 23 games ala 3 games below .500?

This thread isn't about the Knicks. You all can harp and crap over NY during each and every other thread. This thread is about other NBA teams. What's wrong about harping all over Houston? Doesn't fit your little agenda TKF?

12-13 vs 17-15 simple math for you to look at in true perspective and not NYDUMBTALITY

If you reverse those records or winning percentages

2 1/2-3gms is the difference between Houston being an 8th seed or out of the playoffs behind the Lakers at the moment

2 1/2-3gms is the difference between us being 3rd seed or 6th seed where Atl is

Houston was 14-12 2mos ago

Knicks were 20-7 2mos ago

So what I said is correct....Houston has not been playing as bad as basketball as we have

Charles Barkley says the same to the poster with a new username....Kapish?

No this does not happen at least no more so than when posters tried to wet the bed on Lin's bad performances and then disappear when he has GREAT ONES. Bottomline losing is never really good especially to lottery teams all those losses were bad. Denver and Houston talk primarily gets going when they are in a winning groove not after every win, Knicks negative talks picks up when the losses start mounting not after every loss. Sometimes also after we lose in how we lose.

And the Lakers just beat the Mavs. Loved the way Dwight Howard played overall. Only took 7 shots but yet scored 9 points, 13 boards, 2 steals and 1 block. But overall, Kobe Bryant was something else. One hell of a game for Kobe. I can never consider Kobe as a greater player when compared to Michael Jordan, but one thing is for certain in regards to Kobe/Jordan; Kobe's greatness has lasted longer than Jordan's greatness did...

Lakers only 2.5 games back of knocking Houston out of the 8th seed. It's about to happen too. Kobe is about to LEAD these Lakers into the postseason without question too. Same goes for the Mavs. Dirk played great today, just couldn't overcome Kobe. But Dirk is getting hot.

Just an overated team with zero chance to advance. No leadeship ability. They were hot for a minute, but if they were to lose today? That'll make 7 of their last 9 games resulting in loses.

They do have a pretty nice squad with Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut and David Lee, although I believe (as a team) they lack overall leadership/experience.

Barnes is only 20 years of age.
Thompson's only 23 years of age.
Curry's only 24 years of age.

Which means heading into the season when you combine GS's starting PG/2G and SF? It's only 4 years of NBA experience.

Bogut at 28 and Lee at 29 are their oldest starters and/or most experienced players. They may put up solid numbers but Lee has been in the league for 7 years and guess what? All 7 seasons have been of below .500 losing basketball. He's not a winning player. No postseason/pressure experience either.

Bogut (like Lee) has also seen 7 NBA seasons heading into 2012-2013. 6 losing seasons of below .500 losing basketball and two postseason appearances. One of those playoff trips were with a below .500 team. Two first round exits.

I just don't believe Golden State is ready to contend. Not just yet at least. No proven winners. No postseason experience. I just don't see anything special about Golden State as of right now.
