I watched the end of that game as I was too upset to watch the Knicks post game. Rockets looked good. The Nets have a lot of size and if Teletovic continues to hit his shot they will be a tough out.

Bogut out indefinitely with back spasms. Sucks for Golden State and Bogut.

got back from barclay center. lin should not have been let go. he is a far superior playmaker to felton. the knicks could use him right about now. never mind the statline that people are sure to point to. the guy can orchestrate when he needs to. harden's presence in the backcourt doesn't impede lin. but harden is so talented and creative it means that lin does not have to orchestrate as much as one would expect. i think they will continue to gel.

the rockets are going to be a good team. asik harden lin parsons delfino are a nice starting five. their bench seems thin though.

brook lopez has such a beautiful soft touch around the basket. knicks could use a player like bogans let alone reggie evans. nets missed johnson's scoring punch no question.

barclay's a great new place but there's not a lot of energy in that building. biggest noise was during a hustle sequence going after a loose ball.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Bogans has quite the pedigree and is a huge asset to them. Evans is a beast and has always given the Nets fits. If Lopez can stay healthy he is the best center in the east. Brooklyn has a great team and tremendous size. In regards to Lin, there are a million articles out now talking about the cba and how teams can't have more than two stars with the repeater fine that goes into effect in year three of Lin's contract. Morey knew what he was doing and took advantage of the new cba. Grunwald knew the ramifications of matching and had to do what was best for the team.

Dwight Howard put on Kobe Bryant's warmups and impersonated him in locker room. I heard Kevin Durant dared him to do it. The report is true.

Houston is going places the Knicks went early and now aren't close to getting back there.

And Houston is just getting started, while the Knicks may be at the end of their line.

this is the thread devoted to other games and other teams. i saw two other teams. young, up-and-coming teams.

knicks are turning out to be a fool's gold team built around... a group of fool's gold players.

Lin is just getting better and better, as many of us said last year no less.
It is a tough pill to swallow watching him see the floor and whip passes like Felton never will... And he is young.
Watching 3 teams with ex Knicks play better than us lately in Denver, GS and most painfully Houston, is painful.

Rockets thined their bench getting Robinson and perhaps (this based on Simmons article yesterday) this hurts them this year.

This is a "other teams forum" so jocking another team is ok here.

Knicks are about NOW and maybe we judge them to that standard. if so, they are failing the last 30 games. Big sample. Not terrible and we saw early potential. No matter how good NYKmentality writes the velvet smooth intro's the team is not getting it done NOW.

Rockets preseason and Lin Speak here was very negative calling Morey a moron but he is ON THE FLY schooling the league with cap mastering, has space and just got the 5th pick from last years draft in what could be a steal.

"could be"! Knicks and fans like sure things which cap upside. Teams often take chances and often they don't pan out but Morey is very hot right now:

He capped the knicks and bulls to get Asik and Lin using the CBA rules to his advantage to get two players who are filling a higher potential then then they previously played up to. Thats a foreign concept in NYK. Pays a price to get Harden but the question of "is he good enough to be the alpha after coming off the bench" and so far the answer is yes.

Team has evolved from a lottery train wreck to knocking on the playoff door.

Then he thins his bench to get a potential beast PF and the kid is young.

They still have some picks the next few years (own the lakers this year!) and cap space.

So for all of Moreys very average 6 year tenure of rebuilding they managed to morph in 3 years form a team that had the McGrady and Yao on the roster with big contracts to a Lottery team that collects assets to one building with what seems like some form of intelligence over starphuch.

For some knick fans we'd be willing to do this. Please excuse us if we are a bit in awe of the Rockets this year. Im sure many rocket fans questioned Morey but it seems they are reaping some satisfaction from "Dork Elvis" and his metrics

nice win.. lin is playing very well..

I hate the nuggs lost, again to the wizards.. they have to play better defense on a consistent basis... they sure do score enough points..

lin made some sharp passes.. he and harden is like having two PG's in the back court, both with good size and a unique set of skills...

the rockets will need to fill out the bench a bit, but they do have some young guys who can improve..

I have to visit the Barclays center when I come to NY in a few months to see family..

good post....I have been a fan of morey for a while, and people hated me, on other sites because I expressed a level of admiration for what he was doing. I honestly would trade any player on this team for morey if that were possible.. LOL..

and then dolan would probably fire him, because he wouldn't want to trade 5 future picks for a chance to starphuch kobe..
