read pt one and yeah, Morey is pretty good. I recall some laughing at him.

They went lotto because sometimes you have to to crawl out. Six seasons, one playoff trip and three to the lotto.

The trade for Robinson is not going to impact this season so fast but they have even more cap room and can make a play for Dwight if they so dare to.

They are young and have big upside. They have a buzz about them which is good for the gate and buys you even more time.

They even have time.

"Dork Elvis" is on a roll.

He never would have been able to do this in NYC!

Rockets have Lakers 1st round pick this year which if they don't make the playoffs which is a good pick!

Rockets don't have a 1st round pick this year. They traded it for Harden.

No they have 1st round picks but it depends on season results...this is the greatest site I've found for any team's draft pick situation. They may have multiple first round picks come this summer. Morey Stay Winnin

MOREY IS DA MAN!

It will be interesting to see the West battle for the 8th playoff spot. Houston could easily keep this up and make it tough for the Lakers to catch up. Kobe is promising playoff, we'll see.

I would love to see the Lakers in the playoffs, but I do find the prospect of them not making the playoffs intriguing. The ensuing drama would be priceless. Only Dwigh Howard takes a poop on Kobe's last years as a player.

Rockets weathered that tough January and February schedule. Watch for the Rockets pull away and move up in the standings.

Those GSW games and the Jazz game are going to be good games.

Unless they are like us in February where we faced a ridiculously easy schedule and instead of pulling away we lost ground in the conference

I would love to see them not make it. You are right about the drama.

Schedule isn't as easy as one may think.

12 games right there. 6 on the road. Losing road record of 11-18.

Houston's 1-0 against Brooklyn. But the Nets are no pushover.
1-0 against Washington. Won by 6 points. They'll see Wall this time.
1-0 against the Bucks.
0-0 against Orlando.
0-2 against Dallas and they'll face Dallas twice over the next 12 games.
2-0 against Golden State. But Golden State isn't an easy opponent. They'll get G.S twice.
2-1 against Utah.
0-0 against the Suns and they'll get the Suns twice.
1-1 against Minny.

If they win the games they're expected to win such as Washington, Orlando, Minny and Suns twice? That's 5 wins. But the key is winning those games in which you're expected to beat. Can they do it? Time will tell. But, I can't consider Houston the favorite over the likes of Brooklyn, Bucks, Dallas x2, Golden State x2 and Utah. All of those games could end up being very good/tough games.

Teams such as Brooklyn, Milwaukee, Golden State (x2), Utah and even Dallas (x2) are all fighting for postseason births and/or postseason seedings.

Maybe if Lin was 40 years old with a bad back and a limp the Knicks would have signed him.

No question about it. They still might when he hits 40

i will be going to the rockets game tonight at the barclay center. looking forward to seeing the rockets backcourt in action. nothing like seeing relentless dribble penetration and great playmaking.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Wouldn't be surprised if they have a let down game- they put a lot into that Thunder Win.

I think they come out fresh considering they've had time off and the Nets aren't 100%. That's the advantage of being a young team. The trade probably energizes them somewhat knowing Morey ain't playing around.

They were hot for a minute, but have now lost 6 of their last 7. They have a nice squad with Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut and David Lee, although I believe (as a team) they lack overall leadership/experience.

Barnes is only 20 years of age.
Thompson's only 23 years of age.
Curry's only 24 years of age.

Which means heading into the season when you combine GS's starting PG/2G and SF? It's only 4 years of NBA experience.

Bogut at 28 and Lee at 29 are their oldest starters and/or most experienced players. They may put up solid numbers but Lee has been in the league for 7 years, all 7 seasons of below .500 losing basketball. No postseason/pressure experience.

Bogut (like Lee) has also seen 7 NBA seasons heading into 2012-2013. 6 losing seasons of below .500 losing basketball and two postseason appearances. One of those playoff trips were with a below .500 team. Two first round exits.

I just don't believe Golden State is ready to contend. Not yet at least. No proven winners. No postseason experience. I just don't see anything special about Golden State as of right now.

well they do have an awfully young team. you mean the letdown would be mental? maybe, but they have a ton of talent and that often compensates.

Yea, he's starting to rub me the wrong way. Lost lots of respect for Durant when Durant came out and straight up stated... That he doesn't like taking half court buzzer beaters, for the simple fact they hurt his FG percentage. He wasn't joking and/or being sarcastic either. He was dead ass serious. Lots lots of previous respect for KD for that one. Wonder if OKC can avoid their first 4 game losing streak... Shouldn't be a problem going up against Minny...
