If I were Dolan, I'd be wondering if my best interests were being served here. How can you make a trade AND THEN question the physical condition of the player that you are trading for? WTF?
It's all *** backwards as far as I'm concerned.
That's again the enormous pressure that the media and the fans put on this highly visible franchise which is constantly under the microscope.
In that vein, if Isiah is telegraphing his pick to indeed be Frye at 8, it's another example of poor management on his part...but understandable for the exact same reasons.
NBA GMs are sharks. I believe that Isiah is one, too, but he orchestrated a dubious transaction here.
Granted....Isiah has a very tough job. But, this latest fiasco with the Q trade has me scratching my head. Is he really doing his homework? My point is: DON'T ANNOUNCE A TRADE UNTIL THE PARTICULARS ARE WORKED OUT!
We will NEVER win with Marbury as our cameo guy.

you are wrong about that, Isiah has yet to announce a trade...The hungry media is the one that started all of this b.s.

Dido,
My point is that this has been leaked to the media before the due diligence has been done. It's just a poor way to conduct business when millions of dollars and team chemistry are at stake. You agree?

...yeah, it's only the media and yet somehow the agents and players have both heard from team management...

Information always leaks out, especially when the team has so much media coverage like the Knicks. This isn't like Isiah was doing such a poor job that he let everyone know about transactions. Player agents have to know, and after that it goes to the players. If in the process someone else not intended to know discovers it and wants to spread out the news, that happens. As most of the times.

Now, Isiah making sure this deal gets done the right way is a very good sign. While many here just want the deal done to enjoy their days better, the same guys would kill Isiah if on one of those years Richardson plays for us he suffers an injury that prevents him from playing again. Its right that Isiah is making sure we can do something if that ever happened. The best for the franchise...

KT about to get traded...

Allan about to get WAIVED (THANK GOD!!!!)...

The Knicks are finally reinventing themselves completely.

Yes. Make it happen, Isiah!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If I remember correctly, the original RealGm article on this trade said the source was in the Suns organization.

FIrst off who cares about a leak and it not going thru? This is business, not breaking a promise to a 6 year old!

Impatience?

Second is we don't get to fine comb over Q's contract and secure insurance questions until the deal is well in motion.

Third, look at how much exposure the knick "product" recieves (the buzz) with trade reports.

Last, the many teams are jockeying trying to figure the draft scenario.

Frye was lower on the draft mocks for weeks, and even if Isiah promised him at 8 does not mean a thing? Cuz he did it, some one gonna value him higher and grab him at 5-6-7? He might want bynum all along for all we know. Or The spanish kid? Or all three depending on who is there.

It's gonna be a wild offseason, Nalod. There's gonna be a whole lot of news as more changes are made thru the summer months... I can't wait!

It really starts tomorrow as the KT-Q trade is announced! Then we move on to the draft, where I hope Isiah gets the best players he can! He has the eye for talent and he will make the choice.

I'm convinced Rick Kamla knows nothing about basketball other than fantasy stats. He said some really dumb things about this trade. He called Kurt an invaluable 6'10" center and thought Isiah was crazy for doing this and the Nazy trades. He has a cool personality and knows a lot about fantasy stats but he should just stick to that stuff.

Yeah since like February I had been on & off... Man some of those games hurt to watch lol... Barely avoided burnout @ the day job, but this offseason has got me hyped for draft night already.

Hopefully, we'll come out with 2 bigs.

chances of that happening are slim to none. Its hard enough finding 1 good C let alone 2. We might land a good C and a good PF though

I wasn't really thinking about two centers exactly, but guys over 6'10" that can play both PF and C. A combination of Bynum or Frye at #8 and Taft or Blatche at #30 would be great to me! And Im still pulling for a trade to get another pick in the 16-25 range.
