Hart and OG also absent today.

OG is such a disappearing act on offense sometimes. It’s really frustrating.

And I’m tired of this team saying they need to play a whole 48min game and show exactly the same problems throughout the first three quarters. This team is so undisciplined it’s really frustrating they can only try after they get down by a lot.

The biggest issue is starting games and 3rd quarters. Which is alarming trend for obvious reasons. So much so that Mikal had to implore the team to do layup lines last series.

Minnesota had 2nd best league D last year with Towns at the 4. That might be the only way. But they didn’t have Brunson in the same lineup forcing you to hide 2 horrid defenders at the north and South Pole of your defense .

And him taking so much of your cap space has been my concern.
Talk of flipping him for the Greek.

But a win game 4 and him having a good game will change all that.

Im really unsure, sometimes he shows you he can play scheme, but 80 pct of the time he has mental lapses. This is who he is and why very few hear were over the moon about acquiring him. He is gifted as hell, but he will drive you bonkers.

Knicks aren’t gonna win this series without playing complete games and beating Boston at least once at their best. So if it’s meant to be they will hit another gear in next couple games. If it’s not meant to be then they gave us a fun run but team clearly needs work if they don’t have that extra gear in them.

If the core remains intact the supporting cast and bench needs to be carefully crafted. Right now it’s a hodgepodge of holdovers and vet min guys. The backup big and backup guard are critical pieces for this team because they need to be able to play on/off with Brunson and KAT.

I think whatever Josh Hart hurt on that fall had a big effect on him.

OG not being a factor offensively is a huge issue

Mikal not good enough offensively from the jump again.

So much blame to go around.

But a lot of it is the variance evening out. Celtics made 3s and made them early so the crowd never could become a factor.

If we are going to use him for ISO and drop coverage then definitely not. If you put him in a motion offense with a mix of PnR/PnP with ISO strictly for the last 7 secs of a possession then I think our d would be enough.

It’s much easier to live with Towns’ downside when he’s shooting 8 threes a game … if he’s not then his flaws are maximized and you aren’t coming close to maximizing his skills.
