![]() Actually, the Pacers averaged 47 bench point per game the whole season.
fitzfarm wrote:The pacers bench was unreal and we still won, the chances of there bench scoring 46pts in a game again in this series is slim to none. |

![]() I agree, like Bird, he backs his opponent down into the paint area and then hits the smooth fade with ease. All talent, not speed or athletic ability. He does have a shiftiness that makes him seem fast, but it is a honed craft, not speed. His true speed is his thought process, he gets a lot of layups on bigs because he makes a split-second decision to attack the rim on a hesitation, its beautiful to see. Glad he is on my team.

![]() I agree, we need to try something for bench scoring, but the problem is every game has been win or lose tight the majority of the game except the beginning of that 33-11 game. Thibs literally has no margin of error and plays it to win. Just how long can that last?

Fill Bogey's scoring with turnovers and bad shots? You know I gonna spin wit it

I think they can get away with throwing Burks out there - off the ball - and see if he can hit some pull ups and help keep the bench afloat. If it's not working pull the plug and he doesn't return in the second half most likely. That's basically what they did with Precious last night. |

![]() I respect that class over bitching. Kudos to their coach and PG, F Turner. I'm sick and tired of this narrative. Watch the play slowly, first he usually does this, his legs are well outside the frame of his body, which is an illegal stance for a pick before contact even begins. Next, he is moving into that position, so isn't even set, which is a moving pick, and lastly, already having violated 2 issues already, he moved his upper body into the path as well. So, that is 3 infractions in one play, it should and was called correctly and I DGAS when it is called, that BS dirty play needs to be stopped in the NBA. I honestly think DDV didn't anticipate that extra contact and the initial fall was a legit reaction, the kicking out of the end is the only thing close to selling it, which he didn't even need to do. How most analysts are using he sold it and time of the game excuse is a lame cop-out. They weren't given this game they took it.
Did the refs foul JB before inbounds, did the refs hit the DDV 3, did they hit late free throws, did they turn over the ball? No, the players did, so the players did decide the game. Every damn show talking this trash instead of giving this team and JB's historic performances their proper due first. All sore losers mentality. Let's go Knicks, keep pissing people off and having them underestimate this team. We may not win the chip this year, but how many stars are now thinking, I love how that team never quits, and how they could be the missing piece, especially without Randle and Bogey even being here. The ones who don't, want the easy path like KD and don't want to put in the work to play Knicks winning basketball, so F them, don't want them. Go NY Go NY Go!!! How is it Haliburton is allowed to hit the ball recklessly out of JB's hand then chop his arm, but it isn't a foul because he got ball first? But then the same people with bitch that when JB does the same down low for the block, that was a foul? Refs suck, both way. Play the game and if you lose, shut up Jimmy Butler. ![]() I don't know much more of these heart racing down to the last minute games my heart and nerves can take!
![]() But so good to get the first one! The winner of game one between these two have gone to win the series 100% of the time! I cannot believe Brunson is on this team. Never my wildest dreams did I ever EVER expect to have a player this good. He is doing Jordan type of stuff! This is the equivalent of us getting to sleep with Jessica Alba LOL! Down 5 going into the 4th, I said it's Brunson time. And delivered! 21 points in the 4th! And he hit all his FTs! He needs to be a little more careful with the turnovers though. Are we sure Hart is on steroids or performance enhancements? How is it possible to play all 48 minutes almost every single game and not get tired!! He is the best rebounder I've seen since Rodman! Crazy what he is able to do at just 6'4"! An offensive rebound is most demoralizing play in basketball. It swings momentum and just kills the other teams spirit. And his transition baskets and threes have him a star! DVo with another game winning 3! And his defense on Haliburton, held him to just 6 points, was outstanding! I liked that he took it to the basket a few times too. These Villanova Knicks are a trio for the ages! Just think there is a 5-18 year old watching this team right now and they are becoming fans cause of what this team is doing! |

![]() I agree with this, but the problem is Hart only knows one speed, all-out speed. lol And, it becomes contagious. A leopard can't change his spots, but the rest of the team can play their pace which is best for winning. I f'in love Hart's style of play, very Sprewell cut your heart out and refuse to lose mentality.

![]() He shot 50%, I'll take it. Limit Obi & TJ, we will be fine with their starter points. They outscored our bench by 43 pts, our starters outscored theirs by 47 pts, just let that soak in.

So it's definitely a delicate balance. But the first half pace was way out of our league. There's no point of willingly diving in to their style of play. |

![]() Deuce was not good, Mitch was close to unplayable, but Precious was used incorrectly at the 4 instead of in place of Mitch. So, I don't blame him for not succeeding last night. Use Precious as a backup C at times and if we ever have a cushy lead we can hold, sprinkle a shooter off the bench, and see if they can find a stroke. Burk hardly plays, he seems injured, why hasn't he healed by now? Mitch can still have his defensive subs, but he isn't blocking much and still letting smaller guys score at the rim.
Clean wrote:I am usually on the side of giving players a break but playoff time is different. You do whatever you must to win. McBride and Precious minutes were all negative last night. It is what it is. Players will have a few months to rest after we win the championship. |

![]() Jhart trade is very underrated, getting him for a late 1st, in his prime... i mean its been a game changer and also made RJ expendable somewhat which allowed us to get OG.
Getting Jhart and DDV for peanuts really set up the next move. Before that we got Brunson for peanuts, now we got Deuce for peanuts. This FO has done an amazing job at not just going in on high dollar players. |

![]() After Game 2 vs. Philly the refs and the two minute report were the stories of the game. Refs are incentivised to make the right calls because their pay jumps significantly the further they go in the playoffs. A lot of the calls made last night were similar to calls missed in game 2 vs. Philly. I think the refs just tried to make calls consistently throughout the game. It's on the players to adjust.

What's interesting is how does Thibs go back to Hart off the bench for 28 mpg? Do either of them go back to that? Thibs most trusted workhorse now, how does he maintain 36mpg at full health? |
