It took Luke Skywalker in the 4th and his force to snap the 6 game losing skid!

This!

I've said it before but MDA WAS RIGHT!!! Melo as Point Forward was not wrong!!!

Most teams meble Melo in the post, kid doubled him the secound he got the ball, so the passes were easy if your patient

Even Doug was saying on ESPN, he settled the team down in the 4th and played with poise. They needed it. Rose was so erratic to finish the 3rd Quarter. They stopped committing turnovers when Baker came in and the defense improved!

This. When I thought the game was lost KP still made me smile. What about that shot 7 ft behind the line

Melo can't, Melo doesn't. His fault for everyone on other team scoring..STFU . Plus 22, 10 assists. KP goes out, No Rose, No Noah....Game!

Bakersanity begins?

The Baker Awakens?

Whatever, I'm glad they won. Would be nice of they could make it a thing again, but they have a lot to fix.

I don't care what the hype says but KP is legit all star right now.

We are 0-3 without KP. Winning record with him (17-16).

This is how we got to 22-22 last year. Melo playing point forward. Playing physical and hard on defense. Getting leadership and outside shooting from the PG spot.

I was saying it during the game thread but I simply feel that Horny and Phil need to cut their losses with the Rose/Jennings experiment. Get a vet PG that will shoot some 3s. Maybe keep Jennings because as erratic as he is at least he passes and looks like his heart is in it. But DRose man ... I'm dying for a DRose deal right now. Don't care if we go lottery I wanna see the team play the right way move the ball play hard physical defense. Rose is all flash and not enough substance. We need a leader at point.

Tough D...passed well...pissed Terry off...no knucklehead plays.

He's not unlike Brogdon, by the way. You can tell that both of them played until their senior years and know how to fit in. I think Baker can do for us what Brogdon does for the Bucks...maybe let Rose play off guard.

KP hitting a clutch 3 from 40 feet. KP disrupting Giannis's shot in the 4th Quarter with his length.

Noah with a facial showing he still has some of his athleticism.

Lance diving for that loose ball leading to the Lee dunk. Lance redeeming himself after getting beat by Giannis at home last game.

Melo with the game winning 3. Melo effectively passing out of the double team all 2nd half.

Baker running the point making all the simple plays and not turning it over.

Great win!

He's actually a very good shooter I thought.

He is a 2 guard As his rhythm is more natural. He's struggled as a pg

When he gets that going we'll be that much happier

Exactly. No knucklehead plays and doesn't screw up the easy obvious ones. This is importNt

Biggest win of the year so far. The knicks have a Delladova in Baker. A guy that plays smart, and gets under guys skin. Ball movement when Baker was in was amazing. How great was the Knicks scouting. Baker, Kuz and Willy all look minimally like rotation players for the next 7-10 years.

He's actually a very good shooter I thought.

Has to get game time and confidence...didn't happen at first in SL...will not happen immediately now. He needs consistent minutes...10-15MPG great...20 if he is going to show you everything he can do.

Hard to give him those minutes now, but maybe Horny will be more willing to use him in the near future.

I love that on a big night, national televised game, team on a 6 game losing streak, all the hype and talk about how great Giannis is - KP who is a year younger than him and a few years less experienced at the NBA level - came back from an injury and played him straight up if not outplayed him impact wise.

KP 24 points 9-14 shooting 3 blocks 6 rebounds 30 minutes
GA 25 points 9-21 shooting 5 blocks 2 steals 38 minutes

The greek freak is deserving of the hype, but as hyped as KP was last year, I think he's underrated this year becauae the Knicks have not been a great team. People may be equating the Knicks lack of wins with KP, but I tell you individually his impact is massive. He has his off games and he's not a superstar (top 5) player, but in the East, I would say KP is the best PF there right now. Love and him basically, but KP does more rim protection. Cleveland would trade Love for KP in a heartbeat. Get this kid on the all-star team he deserves it.

Oh and Melo, this is how you always need to play. Pass the ball. Don't hold it and do nothing but wait and take a contested tough shot. First look to move it. Read the defense. When we were overachieving at 22-22 last year, Melo was playing this way. Could it be that having Rose and Jennings has given Melo a sense he needs to just shoot and not be worried about passing?

I'd like us to learn some things from wins like these longterm. Guys like Noah for all his faults on offense, Lance Thomas, Ron Baker, Kyle O'Quinn and Courtney Lee, these are the sort of guys you want around KP and Melo. Phil has done great with figuring out some of these players. It's just too bad DRose has just not fit in. For whatever reason DRose came into this season with a shooting guard mindset. He has literally zero leadership or intangible qualities.

We'll be who we are until we get someone to do what Rose gets paid to do. However I'd love for Horny and Phil to just say F it and go with Baker and Jennings moving forward. Sell Rose for a pick. There has to be some teams out there who need a great driver who can score with ease off the bench. I'd suggest using Rose off the bench, but there's no way I see him accepting that role on a sub .500 team. Trade him to a contender, he would. So that's who you look to deal him to, to get some future assets.
