there is attacking arguments and then there is attacking the authors of the arguments. when someone cannot discuss a subject with a certain kind of precision, probing, and honesty, it is predictable that personal insults will follow when they don't want to confront the flaws in their position.

Isles just chose the negative route to every decision for the sole reason of not liking Isiah Thomas. Its a lot harder to win in the NBA then lose so its not that hard to act like Isles did. Same thing could have been done toward Walsh if a poster wanted to put in that type of effort.

You post the most basic concept and ask others if they understand or add something indicating that the poster might not understand. no i only have started asking "do you understand" recently because it is clear to me that i have to stop and ask that question so that the matter to be understood is in fact understood. i have seen that when i don't do that posters tend to yank the dialogue off course. when i raise points and ask questions i expect those points to be directly addressed and my questions answered. that has not been the case often enough here.

I definitely don't remember that. Given how fond of PPG is, I find it hard to believe that Fish wouldn't tolerate or even like praise for Melo. I remember him having some concerns about the trade but not being brutal towards Melo the player.
