Playoff preview. Don't get your hopes down because this is the best team we've had in a while.

But don't get your hopes up because this stretch will show we aren't close to the Miami's and OKC's.

Good thing there aren't any close games in the playoffs otherwise we'd be screwed

At least we looked good. Enjoy it because we will go back to 1 on 5 once Melo returns to the starting lineup and Amare and JR to the bench

Dantoni is stubborn. Woodson is a low IQ coach just like JR is a low IQ player

Woody is also stubborn. If he wasn't, maybe Melo would've been fit to play tonight.

Theyve been on the bench anyway. The only difference is that Amare wont check in as early anymore. I agree with Woody resorting to the 1 on 5 though

I knew they would go ISO for JR. I was hoping that Woody would do something more creative than that, but knowing him that was the most likely scenario. JR should've looked to drive and draw some contact or make the drop off to STAT. I hate just going with the HERO ISO play. Woody has too much faith in JR. He's a streaky player with talent, but he's not really our closer. His judgment isn't good enough to be that guy. I think Woody could have a play that involves both JR and STAT so that you at least have some kind of options on the play.

Woodson's awful playcalling aside, I am really interested to see people defending his 4 guard lineup in the 4th quarter. That was truly pitiful and embarrassing.

The man is not a proactive coach. He is a reactive coach. He reacts to what the opponent is doing rather than getting the opponent to adjust to him. The Thunder put 3 guards on the floor...he puts 4 guards on the floor. Genius! Instead of getting the ball inside with our bigs he benches Chandler basically the entire quarter so he can play 4 guards. No Camby sighting, not even a Kurt re-appearance after he started off well. Just 4 guards. Mind-numbingly stupid.

I'm happy and proud the team showed effort but the coach will always hold them back from bigger and better things.

Yes the 4 guard lineup should be in for about 2 minutes max. Woodson just tries to tread water too long. Did he honestly think that awful lineup could put up any points? And I think Woodson just hates Stoudemire. He barely got any touches at the end of the game. Just ridiculous

Im glad the Knicks are playing better, but Im afraid of a few walls we may not be able to overcome in the playoffs, mainly bad offensive coaching by Woody, bad guard play (in general, not focusing on today) and injuries. Yeah, you can't control the last one but man have they hurt us in the playoffs before!

He went away from what he said he would do last year after taking over for Dantoni. Feed Amare and Melo in the post. We are a jumpshooting team with 40% career jumpshooters

Great game today, I dont really care that we lost. We played well enough to beat the Thunder.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

There's just no misdirection with Woody. It's all obvious stuff. We have so many options on the floor and if you make the defense think you're going for the obvious ISO play but in reality you have another secondary play going. You think Popovich or Doc Rivers wouldn't have a better play drawn up to close the game?

Keep that attitude. It will be necessary in the playoffs.

They ran screens to get Amar'e in the post but they passed to quickly imo instead of giving Amar;e some time to set up.

The Melo/STAT PnR would have been love down the stretch against OKC. The knicks can really beat anyone but they have to go about it differently. They can beat OKC type teams playing small but to beat MIA and Indy they will need to stay big. Amar'e can guard Battier but he should be able to post him up on the other end. If it gets to bad they will have to play another big and that is the key to beating Mia. FOrce them to play big and they will have one less shooter. Amar'e should still be able to feast against their bigs any way.

To me that didn't look like the play called but a secondary release off the in bounds. I don't have a dvr so I may be wrong. It look like they needed better screens set.

This KNICK team
wont make any DENT in NBA playoffs regardless of whom NY plays

vs. Bucks Coach Woodson would make it a maximum series to the end

You cant get better like that, he isnt that good as he was before.

Woodson has changed & DJ has had enough of him, he'll finish the yr. and contract will keep Woody around few season

But this yr. nba 2013 Knick playoffs this team isnt making any noise face facts

Woodson has to change & hasn't ride it out to the bitter end...
1st round 1 Done & out series. *write it in concrete
