I was pointing out where the perceived hate comes from. I don't think it comes with Gallo by himself...it comes from Gallo vs. Melo and what side you were on in that trade. I don't think anyone hates Gallo as a player at all. He is a decent talent.

i dont know whats worse the gallo lovefest or the gallo hatefest. Gallo played a good game but melo played a better game and we won a big game tongiht. End of Story

The knicks gutted out a win when they were awful (especially JR and Felton). Melo was coming back from stitches and was not great but got better as the game went along.

These are the most satisfying wins. When you play awful and the other team plays well and you still win.

Kidd saved our ass (again) and I know you wont give him credit but Melo was a beast on defense.

Admit it. You don't want him to do well.

Gallo played well and had an AND-1 in the last few minutes of the 4th. He did get torched by Melo thereafter. It's funny how the known Melo haters refuse to give Melo any credit for tonight's win despite the fact that logical analysis will say that Melo played a large role in the victory. LOL!

Gallo is a very nice complementary player.

Like they said on NBA tv. The knicks have a goto star when it counts and Denver has a bunch of complimentary players. Big difference.

Exactly, he attack his mismatch which is what you are suppose to do. It is not his fault he is getting guarded by kidd so why not abuse it.

Knicks are now 15-5 and people are talking about Gallo? Gallo is shooting below 40% for the season and less than 30% from 3 land and NEWSFLASH the KNICKS WON THE GAME. The Knicks won the game and the trade unless I missed Chandler and Moz doing something tonight.

Melo started 0-6 and then found his rhythm finishing 10-18, Gallo got cooked in the 4th when it counted as usual

You should just be a Nugget fan if you're gonna do this

Giving credit to a losing Gallo while refusing to mention a winning Melo?

Melo: 34 points, 6 boards, 2 steals, 1 assist and only 1 turnover. Win.
Gallo: 21 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal and only 1 turnover. Loss.

Melo only shot 10/24 due to having 5 stitches on his off ball hand but Melo took over tonight's game. Put Denver in foul trouble. Got to the line 8 times (16 free throw attempts), played his heart out, played excellent team defense and came through clutch during the 4th quarter.

With the game on the line, Melo stood out as an impact player and physically abused/destroyed Gallo during the 4th quarter. Melo went 5/6 for 11 points, 2 boards and 1 assist during the 4th quarter. Melo won this game during the clutch; which was the 4th quarter. The Knicks had our go-to-star during the closing moments. Denver's still looking for theirs.

invalid question. you compile stats over a large sample size to spot trends. carmelo has had a career of mediocrity in terms of efficiency with a 54-55TS%. tonight he hit his career average and the team struggled to get the win. thank god we have kidd. he is a positive-sum player.

meanwhile gallinari has a career TS% of closer 58.6 which is borderline elite so you figure this figure will rise over the course of the season... while melo's regresses. in other words gallo is very efficient. what are you talking about?

tkf has a great pair of eyes and he sees the game very very clearly. you should show him some respect regardless of how you strongly you feel about carmelo anthony.

without jason kidd the knicks are closer to a .500 team.
