Harden doesn't trust Lin. I just don't see it. Lin is actually playing and putting up back up PG numbers (AT THE MOMENT). As good as he is, I just don't think he should carry so many minutes on a goofy team like the Rockets since they don't know what to do with him.

This is why I believe he should go to L.A and be with MDA and back Nash up. He could always come off the bench and contribute his 10 to 15 points and 6 assists and 4 steals and 3 rebounds on nightly basis.

Rockets just doesn't know how to utilize him and they are wasting him by just having him there on the team purely as a PROP. You know MDA and Nash would endorse the trade if it were possible.

You can call a turd roses if you like but I won't choose to engage in such utter sugar-coating and shenanigans.

If and when Lin plays well I will freely admit it. I think he has had one good game as a Rocket and all other games have been average to terrible. Lin's turnovers are down but it seems that the primary reason for this is that Harden is essentially the primary ball handler now.

You're arbitrarily selecting one or two stats and ignoring the bigger picture. You're not gonna be able to combine all the stats and give them the appropriate weights. You're clearly giving too much weight to FG%. He's taking 10.7 shots a game and making .373. If he was shooting .420 instead, that's gonna correspond to 0.47 more shots made per game (or one more shot every 2 to 3 games). That's more than outweighed by the fact that he's getting 2 more rebounds and 1.5 more steals a game than he should be. Per every 2 games, he's making about 1 less shot and giving about 4 more rebounds and 3 more steals than you'd expect. I suggest just looking at his win shares or wins produced, which will give the appropriate weighting to each stat for you.

He is playing bad. He is putting up numbers below or maybe comparable to Felton's career numbers right now. Last time I checked, this board spent the entire summer calling Felton terrible, bad, loser and under-achiever, etc.

No, you're just giving the wrong weighting to different elements of the game.

You know someone is making excuses when they resort to an argument about weighting the stats wrong. All the disgruntled HOU. fans are weighting the stats wrong. All the "analyst" / bloggers / newspapers that have come out and said the Knicks made the right decision (in regards to Lin) and/or discussed Lin's bad play are weighting stats wrong. All the people that see Lin bricking and air-balling shots are weighting stats wrong. HOU. coach putting the ball in Harden's hand more often than Lin's to bring the ball up the court and/or run the offense is also weighting stats wrong.
