The Los Angeles Lakers have expressed interest in unrestricted free agent Jodie Meeks, according to sources close to the situation.

@MySportsLegion
Heat preparing to offer Joel Anthony in a sign&trade to Houston for Marcus Camby

Attain is sport legion a reliable source? I haven't seen anything from other guys on twitter confirming this.

Double checked and haven't seen anything else involving Joel Anthony so my bad on that one. But, Houston is open to doing a sign and trade and with Camby not open to taking the vet min, it will most likely be the only way for the Heat to acquire him.

This is probably how the Knicks would have to work it, either a sign and trade for Camby, or a sign and trade for Kidd. Personally, I think there are younger, equally as useful options available for the money though.

Greg Stiemsma
Ryan Hollins
Earl Clark
Ian Mahimni

Undrafted Guys: (I know most of yall hate this but it's worth taking a chance. Low risk, potential low reward, but what is there to lose?)
Drew Gordon
Kevin Jones
Henry Sims

totally agree, I love what Camby brings but I don't know if he can play at PF with Tyson Chandler because of their poor shooting, lack of offense, and the speed to play together.
He is a shot blocker and good defender regardless of his age. But there are other options that are younger that can play with Chandler.
I feel between Jeffries and Camby, they are both are expected to miss a good amount of games, we should choose between 1 of them.
I believe we have Jeffries early bird rights and I think giving him a contract like what Reggie Evans got for 5m for 3 years would give him some security that he has earned.

Camby is a weak side shot blocker, while if he can play with Camby, it will allow us to have a great presence together.
Tyson Chandler needs helps, without Iman, and a legit PF, that can rebound/block shots and spread the floor.

With Kidd, Tyson Chandler, possibly Camby/Pablo *36 year old Spaniard PG*, we should look to add some younglings that would be able to learn of these guys.
We are already investing money in these type of veterans already, why not bring in players that they could take under their wing, and help their development.
It would make sense to have players that can learn and have potential to develop, if we are already signing veterans that can mentor them to multi year deals.
I agree with everyone on your list, would like to add a couple of other options.

I think aside from Lin, we should also get a PG like

PG
Scott Machado
Tu Holloway
Jardine

SG/SF
Hollis Thompson
Alex Young
William Buford

SF/PF
John Shurna Stretch 3/4
Drew Gorden

PF/C
Henry Sims, I think he would be a great player to pick up with his length/agility to learn under Chandler/Camby

FAs - VET MIN possibles

Anthony Tolliver

Gaines
Delonte West
Gereld Green

More than Vet min FAs
Gary Neal
Danny Green

Nate Robinson - With Kidd, he no longer is a good penetration player, I think we need another guard that can penetrate, hit a 3point shot, and is capable of executing and use the picks of our Bigs like JJ Barea did with Dallas. Kidd can still space the floor with his improved 3point shot and has great passing ability. At his age and shape now, he is a 3rd option penetration player and we need another player that can break our opponents defense, outside of Lin. Nate Robinson will always be doubted, but he has improved much, I watched him in GS last year and I was very impressed with how much has has developed since and is in great shape.

I agree about Camby/Tyson. I would hate to see us do well without Jeffries after how hard he has been playing for us but Ron, what do you think about giving the vet min to Rashad Lewis?

I am not sure, Lewis took big steps back when he was in Orlando, and in Washington.
Unable to hit a wide open shot, much like Fields, and he was left open.
For the veteran minimum, I suppose you can't go wrong, but I would rather have a player like Anthony Tolliver for his ability to play SF, PF, C, and is a much better rebounder/defensive player, excels in a fast uptempo game. He is a junkyard dog 2.0.... with the ability to hit a wide open 3pointer

Right now the Heat are going all in on Rashard Lewis. He is No. 1 on Miami's list. Expect the VIP treatment for Lewis in meeting tomorrow

Miami not interested in sign and trade scenarios that include Norris Cole or Joel Anthony, sources say. Makes Camby an unlikely fit.

if we can get Camby and JJ should come back taht will take a lot of pressure of tyson. We could actually rest him some games kind of like what miami did near the end of the season

Camby needs to understand he isn't going to start. He needs to understand his role on this team.

Possible if Amare gets hurt.
I don't think it would work today but probably in Camby's prime while at Denver, I think it could have worked with Tyson Chandler.
They might have trouble scoring but it would be one hell of a defense.
And they could probably score 25+ points a game from offensive rebounds, alley hoops, and wide open dunks.

Probably won't work today in long stretches but still possible for short periods, with the right matchups.
Maybe even play Amare with 2nd unit

Kidd
JR Smith
White/Novak/Green/Tolliver/ Shawnee Williams SF
Amare
Jorts

The Boston Celtics have emerged as a serious suitor for Courtney Lee after coach Doc Rivers met with the free-agent guard Saturday night, according to sources familiar with Boston's thinking.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Celtics, in the wake of losing sharpshooter Ray Allen to the Miami Heat, have ratcheted up their pursuit of Lee as a possible replacement.
The Celtics don't have the salary-cap space to sign Lee outright, but sources say the Rockets have let it be known that they're willing to participate in sign-and-trade deals with both Marcus Camby and Lee amid the increasing likelihood that neither of those coveted free agents will be returning to Houston.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers, Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns, sources said, are the other teams in pursuit of Lee.

I don't understand why they would need Terry/Lee/Bradley/E'Twaun Moore... all at the 2. Seems like overkill and a situation where someone would be unhappy.

Updating a previous report, the Magic and Hornets have completed a sign-and-trade sending Ryan Anderson to New Orleans and Gustavo Ayon to Orlando.
It seems the Magic felt they couldn't match an impending offer sheet, so by working a sign-and-trade they'll at least get Ayon, who proved more than serviceable last year and comes with an unguaranteed $1.5 million salary next season, a $1.5 million team option in 2013-14, and a $1.9 million qualifying offer in 2014-15. The Hornets may renounce their rights to Chris Kaman and Carl Landry to make this work financially, but they're still expected to match the Suns' max offer sheet for Eric Gordon.

Seriously, Ryan Anderson for 1 penny?
For 1 Peso, I meant...I Joke I Joke, I Kidd I KIDD WTF!!

I would offer GADZ, Jordan, and a pick god damn Orlando....
I would give them Jorts, as a poor version of Okur.
Ryan Anderson could be that stretch 4 we need, while Jorts is more of a center.

The Mavs, Rockets, Knicks, Hawks, Suns and Bucks have registered interest in free-agent guard Randy Foye, league source says.

I would too and was shocked when I saw that. I guess the only problem is that he would only be a year rental because he wants that Ilyasova money not just 6 mill. I still would do it. Orlando would cut Jorts and we could resign him anyway.

Ryan Anderson got 36m 4 year S&T.
But seriously, what does Orlando get out of this?
I guess a trade exemption, is useful, but should get at least 2 2nd round picks or 1 1st rounder too?

Great move by New Orleans, if Eric Gordon can stay healthy next season they're going to compete for a playoff spot.
