It's a combination of the usual coaching change bump, Woody doing some smart things with the team and the pressure and drama being relieved with MDA gone. The team is just playing with renewed energy and it's really about the Defense they've unleashed on teams. They clearly could've played with this kind of purpose and determination before and somewhat did during Linsanity. Now it's coming from STAT and Melo too.

I understand that if you do something for a while, it's hard to give up.

This MDA **** gotta stop, he is no longer a knick and showing how deep you throated him at every chance you get is pretty much lame.

+1 Woodson is our coach now. If things had gotten worse or stayed the same it would be another story.
I really doubt if Herb Williams had taken over that he would have an NBA record for the most lopsided victory for a coach's first game in NBA history.

This game will not, nor will any of the remaining 20+ games, tell you anything about MDA or MDA's offense.

Yeah.. It will only confirm that Melo is the most evil player on the planet, or the evilest player on the planet

Just glad for Indy that he only had a few minutes, the beatdown he would have given them. Bibby is God.

From woodson's mouth, he said he was going to run a ball movement offense, where on any night, a different player can have a hot hand and will get to see the ball. I like that, so far, he is sticking to it, albeit just 2 games..

Team looks spirited, that is what I want..

Still not a fan of melo, but I must be fair, he played hard, especially on defense

Lin looked good as did JR and novak

Jeffries is nice settling into his role

Tomorrows game I expect to be tougher..

Granger needs to cancel his twitter account...

If the knicks can keep this up, then I am happy...

enjoy fellas..

Here's the talking point you sallies need to pick up:

MDA quit, he has no say in the matter right or wrong. He gave up and left it up to the knicks to figure out.

So anything that happens, pointing it out like it was so simple only makes him come out bad. So keep posting it's just this or that, only makes the genius look like an ass for not just running one more set play a game or getting more control.

MDA's basketball knowledge and vision should never be put down. His fatal flaw was his leadership style. It just didn't work here

Really? Is that your expert analysis of the situation? This post doesn't really add anything salient to the conversation. It's clear to anyone watching that this team has picked up it's effort level several notches. The starters NEVER played this hard to start games. They certainly never came out for 48 minutes and played this hard. With no practice they came out against the Blazers and played hard. Then with one full practice they did it again. It's certainly not cuz they went and completely changed everything. It wasn't that MDA wasn't asking them to do something less than this. In fact when STAT and Melo weren't there, the team did step up and look like this. The problem was that Melo's fight with MDA was hurting team morale. MDA did the right thing by leaving and removing himself from the situation.

Some folks here won't acknowledge that he has any flaws which is why we need to move on.

Right on point again. MDA did lose the locker room and Melo was a huge contributor to that unraveling. If you cannot see that you are blind and or completely naive. That is behind us now, but let us all recognize the reality of the situation.

+100000

Nobody cares Nix.

If all Woodson has done is changed the playbook from white paper to light blue, NOBODY CARES!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody, not one person out side of MDA ballsohard camp cares.

We'll look at the end of the season and assign blame, but the coach has no say now.
