You act like Shumpert has no upside. I like Donatas upside, but Shumpert is already a LOCKDOWN defender at the 1=3 and has great size, length, speed, hops (42"Vert) and handle. There's nothing wrong with this kid at all. You won't see Rondo backing him down or blowing by him in the playoffs!!! That has value. We don't need shooting, we need defense and especially perimeter D.

And Singleton goes later. Hahaha

We always go against the wave. But last year it worked wonders for us with Fields, so who knows...

Iman Shumpert stole the show at the combine, looking like clearly the most physically gifted player in this entire draft class. To start things off, his 36.5' standing vertical leap was the highest since Nick Young posted the top mark in our entire historical database (39.5') back in 2007.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

If your negative all the time in the last decade, then yes you will be prone to be correct but it doesnt mean your a real NYK fan.

Mad we didn't take Selby? Hell, if we make a trade involving Toney, I could still see us taking his guy.

Donnie is great at getting these kind of guys. People doubted Fields and how smart was everybody else with that pick? This is a kid that is a blur with the ball from end to end. He can finish above the rim. He can run the point and play SG. I'm just happy to have another solid perimeter defender and young stud with upside.

D'Antoni already has Shumpert's seat on the bench reserved.
