Hello Melo, Hello Melo.....Good bye ball.

Cav announcers are homers. Good crowd at the Q.

This isn't on MDA, its not on anyone. This is a big big trade and it makes talent look back. Road trip not good timing.

yup, i agree.

but i'm guessing there will be a fair amount of overreaction about this loss. and probably some denver knuggets box score posting and such.

Chauncey Billups is talking about defense post-game and Mike D'Antoni is talking about open shots falling. can we fire Mike and hire Chauncey as player-coach?

Ok, so we laid an egg against the worst team in the league - here's hoping in typical, nonsensical Knicks fashion we can take one from one of the best teams on Sunday...

we should've asked for Chris Andersen from Denver when they asked for Mozgov from us.

Balkman, Turiaf and Jared can't shoot. Please take that nonsense somewhere else.

That's why they'll barely play.

They played enough. I think when Jared comes in he can perhaps make use of the zone he had last year that as pretty successful. It would give the other team a different look and keep our guys from getting so many fouls calls. You need a change of pace. I think they should've used the trap and press a bit to slow the Cavs down. They didn't use that like they have in the last few games.

I think each lost, against winnable teams, will continue to push out the door! Once again, I hope he proves me wrong.

You made a dumb statement. Mike plays guys that don't shoot well. He played 2 of them in this game and he's looking to bring back a guy that played a lot of minutes in Jared and he can't shoot.

Cool story but again, you defend Mike for everything every time every time.

Shawne Williams was playing center when we needed defense and rebounding while Shelden Williams was glued to the bench.

Corey Brewer was inactive while Bill Walker, one of the worst defenders in the NBA, was playing.

Why? They both can shoot 3's.

And Balkman played 7 minutes.

Maybe he felt Shelden wasn't a good fit. I don't know. I haven't seen the guy play much. We got killed on the glass, but that shouldn't happen even if we didn't play with a center. Maybe he will feel more comfortable putting Shelden in on Sunday. He's going with the guys he knows or feels more comfortable with. Yes Williams can shoot and it's necessary to spread the floor. I'd have to see who else was on the floor with him to know if he was trying to balance the floor, which would make sense for how we play.

Thing is that Williams and Turiaf have to board if they're in there. Same with STAT. The spread offense does mean that you have a harder time getting Offensive rebounds. There's no excuse on the defensive boards tho. Everyone needs to help on the boards including Walker.

Let's do ourselves a favor and not overreact to this game. Yeah, the Knicks should have won, and yeah, the Knicks probably win this if they don't trade for Carmelo, but this is only one game and all it does is tell us what we already know. 1: the chemistry's not there yet, and 2: the Knicks need rebounding and a backup PG.

We need a big man who can rebound and defend. I will sit and wait and then past judgement.

I keep defending

But really this guy doesnt handle the rotation well at all

We needed 1 defender tonight.

Makes me sick to lose to Cleveland twice!

WTF?

I dont get not playing Turiaf more

Why not throw Sheldon in there for 5 minutes?

Brewer?...... Never played AR

Watching Gallo in Denver you can see how mis-used Gallo was here. ..... Sitting at 3 point line and never getting ball.

I could be salty but really coach has no more excuses!

Donnie has done his job!!....... Now do yours!! WIN!!

And use your Players!!...... Sad thing is with JJ coming some guys will never get to play!!

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

Melo = Al Harrington, 2.0, premium edition

Gallinari = better basketball player than Melo, better team-player, better dude. Would take Gallo over Melo any day of the week.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Geez... we had a "Knicks going to the finals thread" after our big defeat of the mighty Bucks, and a lot of folks seemed to be very happy in that thread. You mean folks can't react the other way after this embarrassing loss?

I have to believe that they'll get better on D at some point during the rest of the season. I'm not gonna get nuts cuz even on offense we still look lost at times. Teams are gonna get up to play us now and the Knicks need to learn that too. It's a new ballgame now that we have Melo. They have to raise their intensity to match these teams.

MDA tried to get some more D in there by playing Balkman, what else can we do at this point. If he plays Brewer and we lose does it really mean that he doesn't care about D. Is it his fault that Melo kept drawing fouls trying to guard jamison? At some point the men on the court have to be responsible for what they do. The Cav's played harder for much of the game. It's not like they had some special Defense. just pure hustle.

some of those calls on melo against jamison were terrible. Like they were battling for position, to me those were ticky tac calls. Those calls aren't called in the playoffs, just let them play.

When they did let them play Jamison took Melo to the hole and scored in a couple of key situations in the 4th like Melo was a rookie.

You are still so biased because you hated the trade. There should be a Nuggets forum somewhere.

Besides after the team had one practice we have to expect perfection? Come on. Any reasonable fan has to expect there to be some tough adjustments. Guys are gonna revert to ISO when they are pressed defensively. It's gonna take time to trust the offense.

Our offense is going to be more ISO now the way this team is constituted. Don't believe that what you saw is an aberration.

Guys got their scoring stud when we got Melo, but he does not play D, he is a Diva on offense, and until fans understand the nature of his game, or Melo makes a real effort to change his game, what you have seen the past two games with Melo is pretty much what you are going to get.
