Gallinari seemed to be on a small run in the 4th quarter, but how many times were his teammates looking to set him up for a 3 in the last 5 minutes of this game?

We got mauled on the boards. We need Gallo to not shy away from the ball when we need a long range shot. Why is Amare taking that?

Hopefully that shakes the intimidation factor Knicks had for Heat..They need to play with better pace from beginning next time they play..Silly shots in beginning of game hurt us.

The Knicks went hard tonight. Gallinari was big in the fourth, instrumental in the surge to make it a 3 point game.

Many of the Knicks seem to stand around when the ball is in the air instead of picking out a many to box out. Amazing how many times this happens, and if you are a smaller team it is a recipe for failure.

Fields hasn't carried his weight in either Heat game. The way to beat this team is to be 8 strong and have a legit 6-11 260 pound C as one of those guys--were maybe 5.5 strong.

early in the game ilgauskas was just not jumping and just tipping balls in after the rebound. happened at least 3 times.

just poor rebounding instincts. chandler gets up and grabs boards SOMETIMES, Amar'e goes up hard SOMETIMES. other times they just look at it and hope it falls to them in traffic. or they both go up for the block which leaves no one to get the board.

all you need is someone to go up and grab the tough boards. none of this tipping bs. go up and get it. and there is someone on the bench who's really good at that yet he gets no burn.

we almost got burned against chicago, it hurt us today as well as countless other times. it's one thing if we didn't have the personnel. i just don't think he's given AR a full opportunity.

strange?

do you mean exciting?

You would think that with that late rally it would be exciting but it felt like they were toying with us, even when the game was down to 6. Still work to do.

Just got done watching the game.

at Wade and Lebron treating the 4th qtr like garbage time going 1 on 1 and throwing up circus shots.

Chris Bosh didnt get a single shot attempt in the 4th quarter.

They weren't toying..Wade hit a 3..Fields bricked shots. Game loss. I'd rather have a loss like this than last time we play'd when the likes of Arroyo and Chalmers was killing us. We shut down the others besides Z early.

I love this group of players but I think in the end, games like this just show how difficult it is for us to win against contending teams unless everyone is on their A game (which would be tough to consistently achieve in a 7 game playoff series). We continue to rely too much on Amar'e and as good as he has been this year, I just don't see how we can beat teams like Miami and Boston in the East without adding another star to at least help ease the load.

Until that happens, we need to get Gallo involved early on as he makes this team run so much more efficiently when he is on his game. There are stretches where we just completely ignore him on the court and we sometimes get into the habit of just dumping the ball into Amar'e. Gallo is an unselfish guy which is great for team ball, but as we've known for awhile now, this team really needs him to become more of a focal point on offense and he has to be consistent in looking for it. If Gallo can take that huge step and become a consistent scoring threat (which I honestly think he can at some point), that's the only other way I can see this team growing into a contender with smaller additions. Problem is, Amar'e is in his prime right now and we don't know if his health will hold up for another 3-4 seasons.

"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

This post will be their doom when playoffs come around..can't do that in the playoffs when the game slows down.

hope they realize that toying with us will lead to a 2 possession game.

agreed we still have work to do.

I'm talking about the whole game. Lebron went a quarter without a shot attempt. The Knicks made their rally and the Heat hit their shots like it was no big deal. The Knicks aren't the only victims, the Heat have been on a tear, but it does show where the Knicks are vulnerable.

Frazier already noted they were playing around with the Knicks.

Those shots Lebron and Wade were taking were not necessary.

Can we please stop with this AR idea. I think MDA has shown he will play who he thinks will help him win, evidence by fields, douglas, and earlier mosgov. MDA is not the first coach to give up on AR.

To the knicks, the heat just present a super difficult matchup problem for us, not unique, they have been beating everyone.
1. They play defense
2. They can play well in a half court.
3. They can play run and gun.
4. James
5. Wade
6. Bosh

We need to identify when the shots aren't falling and start attacking to the rim.
Gallo needs be more consistent. This whole, giving me one good quarter isn't good enough.

You would think Chandler would be a good matchup defensively on Lebron but seems Gallo plays him better. Just can't figure out why it takes a game and a half for D'Antoni to make adjustments. He needs to utilize his timeouts better. Coach performance was one step slow today it seems too.
