I liked that Gallo was stepping up and guarding Melo but Melo was not on Gallo. Could have been a coach Karl decision, but at least Gallo took on the challenge.

Gallo is doing everything people did not think he could do that well- playing D, driving to the basket, and even rebounding, but where the F has his shot gone? I don't think he should be trying to shoot out of a slump in the 4th quarter, and at some point he has to realize that his 3pt stroke is not there and look to move in a few feet and take the midrange J. Many of his shots were short, and this usually means a shooter is not getting enough legs action into the shot or his shot is flat.

He is being encouraged to do this by D'Antoni.

As every other player is. d'Antoni was putting in one after the other to try to find a hot hand. Walker was a DNP last game, hits 2 threes he gets fed the ball.

What I liked about Walker is that he mixed things up. He first drove to the rim and scored, then hit a couple of threes, then drove again and scored. He mixed things up right off the bat.

This is the way it should be to my way of thinking. I never liked the idea of the first shot you take should be from behind the arc.
That corner trey should be the first one taken.

This team looked so good running the break. Only to fizzle at the end. I did see a glimmer of hope though. If they penetrate more vs the 3 they win this game. And about 3 others over the last ten days.

This is the first game in a long time where i remember the Knicks pushing the ball at every chance. maybe there was a short lull when TD was the only PG in the game, but it was refreshing.

And what the heck is up with TD?

Dude looks demoralized out there. His pizazz looks shot. Same with confidence.

wow looking at the boxscore.

Knicks out rebound, out block, have less TOs and lose this game. Shooting decision making was key.

And TD fed Stat after penetrating for the nicest pick and roll all season.

I've seen a lot of open guys missed by about everyone on the team. Are they looking for 3 point shooters instead of cutters?

He was hitting these ridiculous shots in the beginning of the season and it was fools gold. He kept taking them even when he was not making it. I am really not liking him right now. I would rather see Rautins right now.

Yup, If they hadn't gone 3 crazy we might have won, but that's the way D'antoni wants it.

how about this. I like the Rautins kid. But he is nowhere near ready from the little we have seen in SL and spot minutes during preseason and regular. Dude's handle is not good with just a little pressure and his defense is prob not there (he can be scrappy at times).

TD is a good scorer. We saw it last year and in preseason and during his college years. He can shoot but that seems to be missing. And we know he can defend. A little rocky when trying to notice open players.

No idea. He was going great guns and it's like someone pulled the plug. Injured or no faith in the coach or role.
Something isn't right there.

his role has seemed to be the same to me as last year or preseason... but maybe I am missing something.

And when he didn't get back on D the last game after 3pointer, that just wasn't normal TD.

That would last less than a game. Douglas is doing what the coach asks him to do. Believe that

Paint is clogged every time. Somebody else needs to cut to the basket and you can tell arsehole I said so

True...very little time wasted once we got a defensive rebound or inbounded after a Denver basket.

I don't think I've seen Gallo do that much sprinting down the court since he joined the team. Same with Fields.

missed FT's hurt..

this team still learning how to win. I see improved effort. we need to clean up a few things..

Amare should call himself out with the missed FT's

if the Knicks played the other 4 loses like they did this one, I might not be disappointed in the overall losing streak. The effort was there tonight, just not execution.

I agree.. we outrebounded the nuggs.. 51-44 I think.. we hadmore assists 24-23 and we had 12 blocks to their 2.. what hurt us were the missed threes.. we took way too many.... the missed FT's and horrible officiating did us no favors as well...

we need this win tomorrow... as you said, for us, it is about execution at this point..

Short short stint in the second half - maybe like 3 minutes.
