Gallo had a real nice game. He had 13pts on 6 shots. He did alot of things tonight, he played 43 minutes, which should be good news to everyone and anyone who is still worried about his back and as you said, he did play some very good ball-denial defense. i can't believe the knicks are fun to watch again.

Only if you tie big macs to the top of the backboard after every basket.

craziness. the knicks are a 1/2 game out of the 8th seed and only 4.5 out of the 5th seed.

jj had 30+ min: 2pts, 1rb, 2ast, 2blks, 4pf... coach cant find some better fill-ins for those mins and not get better results? fine, he has things that wont show up on a stat sheet, still, thats some production that the other 4 on the floor have to pick up.

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!

It wasn't Nates fault that we were losing while he was playing nor was his benching the main reason why we started winning. MDA had a somewhat winning combination going on while Nate was onthe banch and he continued to go with it until he started to faulter, as it did the last couple of games. Just like tonight, Lee and Duhon was benched while Nate, Gallo, JJ, Wil, and Al hleped brign the Knicks back. Coaches coach to win.....

Gallinari's 3s had an a better arc on them today. I would still like to see him drive more, but I think he and Harrington realized that the best thing to do tonight was to step back and watch while Nate did his stuff.

Chandler's turn around Js have to become a staple of his game. He is so much better when he is operating inside the foul line. I also like the fact that he is using the backboard more when shooting, even though he has some work to do on his bank shots.

Harrington played relatively smart ball, and Jeffries did his thing on D.

isn't it? There's not even alot of teams to jump over. The Knicks have a legit shot at the playoffs this year, I mean a real legit shot.

Vote Early and Often

nyk4ever - thank you for the correction

Can Nate keep a straight face when he comes into the next game at The Garden?

His challenge will be to play under control and keep his head up. He and D'Antoni will become a great story if they continue to respect each other. I don;t care whether players "like" their coaches or not.

They should thank one another and share a warm handshake on the flight home.

nyk4ever - I hope they do too, because to their credit this team has played together and they could have very easily rolled over for the 2010 Prequel...

earl - why weren't you at the game?

hawks are good but imho, not impressive.

their offense is all 1 on 1 play - joe johnson or crawford and that's it. then when josh gets it, he doesn't pass it back out. they win b/c of their athleticism in the frontcourt and how they can keep switching b/c of it. plus, joe johnson does make big shots. but still not impressed with them. knicks went zone and they couldn't do jack b/c they have no plays.

knicks played hard and they don't quit - credit d'antoni.
knicks went into zone and they stopped atlanta - credit d'antoni.
nate played like he always did and in this game, he was unstoppable (think wade) - no credit d'antoni...well may a little credit for at least keeping him out there.

again, it's all about confidence and momentum. knicks are playing with confidence and the wins in december are giving them some momentum.

Who has won on this team?

harrington in indy, duhon in chicago, hughes in cleveland, jeffries in washington, gallinari in italy... they just haven't won here yet. unless you count 10-6 over their last 16 as a good start.

crzymdups wrote:look, nate is a pure scoring talent. but even during his brilliant game you saw some of the stuff d'antoni hates. nate overdribbling. nate not passing. nate dominating the ball. did it work? yes, tonight. but unless he's scoring 40ppg it's not going to work every night.

he needs to learn to play team ball, because we need the stuff he can bring - penetration, scoring, shooting, etc.

sigh.

still cannot wait to hear d'antoni tonight...

then forget about wade in ny...b/c d'antoni would hate him...

WOW!!

chandler was a damn beast.. 24/17/4, STUD GAME.. wilson is really playing some great ball..

Gallo had a solid game on limited shots.. the stroke looks to be back.. 4-6 and 3-4 from three for 13/6/1

Lee had an off game, but enough with running the offense through him and duhon.. lee takes too many jumpers and shouldn't be force fed in the post.. he will bounce back tho..

Nate: what can I say.. 41/8/5? lol. tonight he was on some wade, kobe and lebron Sh#T!!!!! just nasty.

Good team defense in the 4th.....

Al harrington? geez.. thank god his horrible shooting game didn't burn us...
