you have to hope and pray that the Knicks are pushing these veteran players to showcase them. There just isnt much of a logical explanation for playing veteran guys 40-50 minutes on a non playoff team over guys that you regard as your building block players

We only HAVE to trade Jeffries and Curry though correct? Everyone else isn't hindering our future.

So to be playing Duhon and Al big minutes is confusing.

You mean to tell me you can't take 3 minutes away from each of Duhon, Al, Lee, Hughes and given them to Jordan Hill (12 min a night)? I don't understand....

I think the loss falls squarely on one person and that's MDA.

What the **** is Duhon doing in the NBA let alone the game. This kid sucks. He isn't a threat to do anything except drive and kick. Nate was playing better all around and was on the bench. Harrington needed the ball because Garnett was getting embarrassed every possession and the ball is going to chandler in the corner, who really has a very limited offensive game.

All this talk about the development of the youth where was Tony Douglas. I'm really liking the way that Hughes is playing and he can really serve as a hyprid starting guard to start with Douglas and still allow Nate to bring the energy off the bench.

Gallo? Did we waste a pick or is this kid going to demand the ball be a little selfish. This game was there's put they decided to take about 7 outside shots in a row in the forth quarter instead of being aggressive.

team looks to be playing harder. wonder if not getting AI could be used as a coaching tool, "guys, we didn't get him because i don't think talent's the problem. it's effort." suddenly, they are giving much more consistent effort on both ends.

sucks to lose this, but i think they're making progress. next game will show a lot.

Or a couple of plays run by Douglas and his speed instead of Duhon and his cement shoes.
Or a couple less David Lee welcome mats placed out for the opponent.

But, well, this is what we have on the team and it's why we are a bad team. Bad teams lose games like the way we do. But again if you go over the course of a game and watch Lee's doormat plays and Duhon's inability to push the ball I think right there is where you could technically place the blame.

Outside of players in shooting slumps and what not of course - but - we're now 10+ games into the season: The rust is gone for players now league wide. Time to man up and tighten up that D and push that ball and make the right decisions with it (which Duhon has trouble doing...you know ignoring Gallo or Curry who are ready to score - for say Nate or Al or Hughes to chuck up a brick instead).

which is why I don't want duhon at PG.. either he doesn't want to pass to gallo or he feels compelled to pass to jeffries, Al and hughes, even when they are struggling.. either way, I don't trust that cat... His decision making should be called into question..

either steve smith or eric snow and sam mitchell were analyzing the last play on nbatv. they both were of the opinion dlee did the right thing by cutting off pierce and al harrington failed to rotate out.

per them you're supposed to make the other team beat the clock

in that situation you want to make them make the extra pass which leaves less time on the clock to get a shot off. Pierce was forced to pass by Lee helping. If Al rotates the ball has to be passed one more time which would've left the remaining person with maybe a second to catch and shoot vs KG being able to stand there and measure it up.

You must not have watched the start of the game. Gallo was being very aggressive trying to initiate his own offense.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

He has his aggressive moments, and he has those moments where he is just hanging out on the wing waiting for the pass that rarely comes. At this point in his career he is a perfect compliment to a good penetrating PG, or an inside presence who has the ability to demand a double team and then kick the ball out. We have neither of these, unfortunately.

He picks his openings now and then in terms of taking it to the basket or creating, but he has a way to go before he is going to be that kind of go to guy. Barring injury, however, he should get there at some point in the next two years.
