At the conclusion of this draft--we can do another but everyone who participates cannot use the same team--they would have to pick 1 or two different teams and we can compare and contrast the two mocks at the end. That is if you guys are interested?

instead of picking teams why not allot picks evenly so everyone can participate & have the same amount of pick? i think that's more fair than some posters having 3 or 4 picks & others just having 1 or 2.

another idea might be to have each poster pick a team, & the ones w/more than 2 picks can trade a pick w/another poster who has only 1 pick in exchange for a player or players on that other poster's team's roster ... then we can hold a vote at the end of the draft as to which poster improved his team the most w/his offseason acquisitions.

we can figure out the order of picking teams by holding a draft lottery too... just gotta figure out how to hold a draft lottery online, there's gotta be an online software out there that can publish the results fair & square so we know it's not tainted in anyway.

I think the problem with having more than 1 poster per a team--for example 3 different people pick for Memphis--well the first person could have a strategy based on the roster and the particular types of athletes he wants on the team--that way he can mock the draft and exclude players that dont fit the mold. You take the individuality out of it. Most people were able to make their picks or most of them and I think the draft went in a timely fashion and also I think everyone did a fine job.

i agree everyone did a great job w/their drafts... just trying to add in a twist to make things a bit more interesting... but whatever, if you're happy w/the way things are, i'm cool with it... i'll take 1 of the later picks since i picked 1 of the first the last time.

I'm down for another draft, BRIGGS, because, hey, we've got a long way to 'til the real one.

This time around, let's try to split it up by time slots so that everyone knows when their time slot will come.

Well, the Boston Celtics get lucky and take advantage of a guy that was expected to be a first round pick. With the 58th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select Damion James from Texas.

(I don't see him in the big board so I guess he is still available. Let me know.)

Not sure if it's legal...does it matter really?

With the 60th and final pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Miami Heat go for broke.

He wants to play in the NBA and we're prepared to make his years old dream finally come true. We will make him the second Iranian to enter the NBA behind Hamed Ehadadi.

Prior to the draft the Heat informed the Iranians that we would select this giant specimen with our final pick and came to an agreement that half his salary would return to Iran much how Yao Ming reached his agreement to play in the NBA.

The Miami Heat select Center Jaber Rouzbahani. A 7'5" 270 pound Persain who can grab the rim while flat footed.

A man with impeccable looks ought to clean up on Miami Beach during the summer.

Jaber Rouzbahani is from the historical city of Isfahan in Iran. Born on May 10, 1986, Rouzbahani now plays for Isfahan's Zob Ahan.

The Iranian teen played Yao Ming in an Asian tournament a few years ago and held him to 15 points -- about half of what Yao was averaging in the tourney.

Rouzbahani played at the World Junior Championships in Thessaloniki, Greece, a few summers back in front of NBA scouts, averaging 12 points and 8 rebounds per game and an eye-opening 7 blocks, leading the entire tournament.

What stands out most about Rouzbahani, besides the obvious size, is his infectious smile and a great personality, which shines through despite the language barrier.

"I underwent all NBA tests," Rouzbahani told IRNA Sunday adding "My presence in NBA will help my teammates find their way into the world's most prestigious basketball league."

BRIGGS:

This is what we do. We divide the picks into time slots.

Example...picks 1-10-- each pick has a time. Pick 1 at 9:00 am, Pick 2 at 11:00 am......Pick 10 at 03:00 am.

So this way, each person picks a 'time slot' instead of a pick or a team. This will ensure that everyone will make the pick they want and at the same allow each person to make picks for different teams, thus deepening their understanding of the incoming talent pool.

OBM, I'm not getting up at 3am to make a draft pick. I agree with your premise, but lets alter the times for the love of god.
