You skipped a lot of steps. If they lie and it broke the law (not all lying does), and if they are charged and tried and convicted, and if the statutes state that imprisonment is the appropriate punishment, then they should be in prison. These are serious points - Donald Trump just says "lock her up" as if he doesn't understand (or doesn't want his supporters to understand) our legal system.

Yes If you want to get technical of course the process has to be there but the process cannot be corrupted either.

As far as I can see I dont see Corey on TV getting jobbed for giving Donald Trump the questions to the debates. But I certainly see Donna lying like a rug. It's called "plausible deniability" and everybody in politics and business does it. If it wasn't sent directly to HRC how was she suppose to say no? And if the staff who prepped her for the debate never tells her they received the tip, she can legitimately say she wasn't aware of the tip. If her staff is smart they would make sure HRC never knew.
