Lin supporters went nuts with no mention of his awful shooting percentage of .321 from beyond the arc. And now tonight he's already started off 0/1. When is Jeremy Lin going to learn to quit shooting the long ball? Because he's drop dead awful at it... All he's doing is hurting his entire team when tossing up desperation trey's. Stick to what you know Jeremy Lin; which is 'GO RIGHT' because we all know he struggles going anything other than... Right. Man, you got some problems. I am probably the biggest Jeremy Lin fan in this board. After that game, nobody here was going nuts about his 5/8 from 3. Everybody, including me, was very sarcastic and poking fun that he actually made his 3s. Mentioning that Lin looked like he changed his shot a bit. You really gotta stop worrying about ex-Knicks. Their success does not mean this current Knick team is failing. Also, Did you watch the game? Lin is a big reason they won last night. He had his attack game on. Lin and Harden basically put Curry, DLee and Bogut in foul trouble before halftime. They all had 3 fouls at halftime. In the 2nd half, Curry could not stop Lin and they had to switch Curry off him when he got his 4th and put Barnes on Lin. Lin controlled the pace or rather pushed the pace. Lin had 14 points and 10 assists. He would had more assists but in typical Asik fashion, he blew a bunch of layups. And Yes...he stopped taking 3's after his first 2 shot attempts did not go in. They did not give him any steal last night but he picked up a bunch of loose balls that were deflected by his teammates. good post, but you are talking to someone who is completely irrational when it comes to anything outside of knickland... one thing about the rockets, lin has to take the open three, that is what the rockets do.. if he doesn't take them, he will sit, because Douglas sure will..... It is how they run their offense.. but yes, last night he was a factor again.. he and harden can be hell to guard, especially when lin is aggressive, because harden is always attacking.... LOL, I also agree, asik messes up a lot of lin's assist... haha NYKmentality and TFK are completely opposites and similar is so many senses They are constantly looking to prove other people's opinions wrong and their own opinions right Unable to accept criticism/opinions/ of other's and the yin/yang of ex Knick's TFK makes bashes Melo to the extreme and NYKmentality ignores the flaws of Melo and credit's him more than deserved Harden *from OKC to Rockets* and Rudy Gay *from Memphis to Toronto* are great examples of how stats could be misleading In the end, STAT's doesn't measure how each player is utilized in each system/team, and does not measure their talents On people that like to use STAT's as a measure of the values of players, Rudy Gay and Harden proves why it can be flawed Rockets acquired arguably the best COMBO G in the game today and one of the best penetrators/ability to finish with contact in the game/ and ability to break defenses down Rudy Gay is one the most versatile/athletic/skilled SF's after Durant/Lebron, with the ability to play SG/PF *much like how Melo does* He was a complete steal for Toronto and horrible trade for Memphis because they did not attain any real assets for a young/all star like player in Gay While I understand that Memphis simplified their offense and improved their chemistry/defense, they simply did not acquire asset's for Rudy Gay's potential ron, honestly I don't think you believe that, because really, you can't find any evidence of that.. I think that has been regurgitated so much that it just seems like the normal thing to say.. can you look at any of these threads and find where I bash him to the extreme? if feeling that he is not a top 10 player in the league bashing, then I guess I am guilty, as are many others..... but where is this extreme bashing you talk about?
You post a lot, so it is hard to trace it back You actually do, maybe sometimes you feel attacked by some posters and get defensive, while thing's maybe come out the wrong way Then it becomes of message battle, going on and off... There are many points that I do agree with you on some part but then there times where I think you take it to the extreme like this
When you said you would trade Melo for an injured Rhondo for the better of our future *knowing he is out for the year* and our window of opportunity is probably it's highest this year* That pretty much sums it up, of how much you discredit Melo, trading for an injured player while we would lose the opportunity to compete for a ring this year that is not bashing ron.. I don't feel this team with carmelo as the "best player" will win... i would take my chances with a player like rondo for years to come... that is just me. If I am wrong, then great, Knicks win a ring... and I am wrong.. I can live with that.. but that is not bashing... I think we are a potential first or second round exit as constructed with or without carmelo.... without him, honestly I think you will see that woodson would actually be forced to coach offense, other guys will get more shots, guys like amare, novak, heck even JR, and I don't like JR, but honestly he has been pretty good for stretches and has shown that he can and will take and hit big shots... don't worry, if coached the right way, we have enough ball movers on this team, and we will still score the same amount of points if woodson would actually coach offense.... carmelo gives us nothing and I mean nothing but scoring at a 44% clip.... whoopee.. bring in copeland, give amare more touches and tell JR we will need him to be even more aggressive.. I guarantee you we will make up the points.. what we may find is that we actually move the ball more, get more points in the paint, guys are not standing around and we actually defend more... who knows.. I am open to finding that out while adding a young stud PG to build around.... I want a player who is more cerebral, I can't stand that holding your hand up asking for the ball and jacking up forced shots as if you have a shot quota, while guys stand with their hands out asking to please let them share in the spoils.... I just don't like it.. don't like him, his ways, or his style!! I hate it..... we have some guys on this team that will actually play the right way, and damn man, they need a leader who understand that and will take the lead doing so!!! call me crazy... I dunno bro... I just tend to look at things a bit differently I guess..
