This is it. We thought the Celtics were the ultimate challenge, mainly because we were such an underdog, but no. It had to be the Pacers. Them who eliminated us last season and mocked us even if we were injured. No, it’s the Pacers and their punk immature leader who needs to be humbled down. They have said that this isn’t a revenge series and they played like that in this game, letting a win slip away in historic fashion. Yes, that’s embarrassing, but it’s only one game. Now it’s for the Knicks to respond in dramatic fashion for the rest of the series or else.

The Pacers don’t respect us because they have a punk of a leader and it has helped them win some games. This Knicks team needs to respond and humble them the rest of the way. This Knicks team needs to learn their last lesson, which they seem to be resisting to: focus for the whole game! They honestly played great and showed they can play at any style, but wow! What the heck happened in that final quarter and overtime has to be a lesson learned immediately. This can’t happen again! You can’t let this fugazy bum pull a choke gesture like that!

The Knicks better respond for next game and for the rest of the series!

Yes, that was the worst loss of the year but for 46 minutes we were in control and playing great basketball. It took a couple of guys going into video game mode and some ****ty non calls.
But KAT, Bridges and IB showed up strong and the Bench played well. OG struggled a bit but hit some big shots.
Now we know what the Celts felt like after the first game. Key will be to not follow suit in the second game!
Like the Celts series, felt that if they stayed healthy and played to their ability, they would win the series. Think we proved the first 46 that we are the better team. No one said it would be easy.
Hit some more FT’s, keep attacking for 48 minutes and we will win the series!!

Last year karma repaid his game 7 gloating w a Celtics sweep. Hoping karma is tuned in again.

There were so many mistakes made. But probably more good / slightly improbably shots made than mistakes.

Team needs to clean up when it can clean up. Brunson should have used the clock when up 5 with 29 seconds to go instead of trying to make that pass to OG with 20 on the shot clock. You gotta make them foul you or get it to under 10 seconds left. If we're up 5 with under 10 seconds left, that's an even more improbable come back.

In general Brunson was careless with the ball or got himself into bad spots at the end of the game. He knows he needs to be better to close that out.

Guys have to make free throws.

OG played off Nesmith on at least two occasions and shouldn't have allowed him enough space to be shooting 3's in a situation where only 3's can kill you.

There were some blown calls. A non-call goal tend when that would have made it +6, and then its a 3 the other way. Haven't they changed goaltending calls after the fact this year? Why didn't they pause to take a look at that? That was a huge play that could have given the Knicks the edge.

The OG/Siakam play never should've happened (Brunson should have dribbled out the ball, use the clock or let them foul him). However, even if you want to say Siakam makes clean initial contact, its a clear loose ball foul after that. He grabs the Jersey and uses his legs to knock OG off balance. How can you overturn the foul on that. Was a BRUTAL interpretation.

Haliburton gets the world's most insane bounce. Only comparable bounce was Kawhi, but I mean this shot was back rim and goes straight up in the air 6 feet...almost impossible from a physics standpoint. Should have been a brick. But EVERYTHING was going in for Indy at that point. Never seen anything like it in my life.

It was like Maxey's comeback in Game 5 last year but on a 5x scale.

For whatever specific reasons I’m considering this team needs a new voice, even in the ECF, is everytime they go out there and look disorganized, not knowing wtf to do or where to go. It happens every few games, but makes you question this team’s focus and as an extension the coaching staff’s. It’s still “Jekyll and Hyde” out there with this team, quickly moving from one extreme to the other. It was pretty evident what the Pacers decided to do in the 4th trailing by double digits, yet you can’t find a way to adjust to that?

Where do we even start? It's never on one or two players when something like this happens. The entire team and Thibs **** the bed in that final two minutes. Game was won. Up 14 with 2:51 and up 9 with 58 seconds left. Game over. I will force myself later to watch the last two minutes but in real time I was most upset and angry at OG cause he played really soft defense on Nesmith and gave up most if not all of those threes. And he missed a clutch FT. KAT also missed one with 14 secs left that would've given us a 4 point lead and ended the game. As team we missed 12 FT's which you simply cannot do in a playoff game!

Seeing Haliburton do the choke sign was a knife to the heart. I still cannot believe that shot went in after it hit the back of the rim and bounced high and in. Might as well been a three cause we had no business playing OT after that collapse. Even up four in the OT I wasn't feeling it.

It hurts and it sucks. I barely slept. But this team has resolve and thrives on adversity and responds to losses really well and I have no doubt they will punch back tomorrow. This was never going to be a short or easy series and losses like this were kind of expected at some point. It's part of the journey if you want to get to where we want. So lick your wounds and put this one to bed after today and get ready for game two!
