His best plays were his jump balls out of bound taps. Most of his games he had a negative +/-, to include this one.

KAT fouling out was huge. Duren is trying to box out Mitch and is out of the position and Mikal sneaks in. Mitch then makes a huge defensive play on Cade's shot the other end. Mitch in the last min makes a big difference.

So OG got a flagrant, but when timmie fouled 2 Knicks the refs didn't even review it. He pushes OG to the floor on top of another Knicks after the whistle and that is not excessive. Refs were a joke and they still couldn't stop the Knicks. I'm proud of our frustrating coach & boys. Now go win just 1 game in Boston or at all. Next year deepen the bench and we set. Go NY go!

Glad that series is over, it’s pretty clear we are the better team …. Those refs helped the pistons get back in almost every game . The way they called the 3rd in game 5 and the way they called the forth tonight was disgraceful…

Hopefully vs the Celtics we will see a more consistent and fair game called . I’ve watched the other games and the Celtics don’t look great they looked challenged by a undermanned magic team.

We can beat them if we come to play for 48 minutes…

So we just lying now? he lost balance because he thought Brunson was going to the wing but he went middle.

Lol

You going to sit here and say this was cuased by the ghost screen? SO Brunson changing direction the exact time he loses balance means nothing?

We get it you don't like Thibs.

Watch the whole play. Bridges starts coming to screen and Tobias calls it out. As Bridges passes by Ausar peaks and starts to lean and Brunson begins his cross and Ausar is already on skates.

Its a well designed play, but you wanna talk about Cade's hot potato toss to Beasley

You really standing by this? This ain't even about Thibs anymore. I am just amazed that you really think that was caused by a ghost screen. if ghost screens works so well why don't we just throw ghost screen everywhere and have eveery defender get off balance so we can drive to the hoop.

It was definitely a well designed play that worked. The ghost screen didn’t free up Brunson obviously but it got 2 more bodies out of the way completely left the area Brunson eventually shook free and drained the dagger wide open to operate.

Looks like Wally just highlighted the screen action on the MSG post game show as how Brunson is able to create the space so Ill stay with it.

I'm just gonna try to enjoy this win without worrying about agendas. Peace.

Our offense needs an overhaul...does anyone think this type of offense will work much vs the Celts? Jrue Holiday is a very solid defender, they have D. White, JB, Tatum, Pritchard that all cover well.

If JB plays more pass first I think we have a possibility to overachieve.

Of course if he's really the second coming I guess we will be fine

Either way it will be fun to see KAT go head to head vs KP in the trailing 40 foot shooting contest!

For real.
To be honest, nobody felt good about the way we finished the season and nobody felt good about this series either.

Winning in 6 was the most expected outcome. It just took a little more to win in 6 than most people predicted. But winning is the most important thing, and the Knicks (and Brunson once again) got the job done.

Well Wally said it so it must be true. You want to play that game? I can play it better. Lets listen to what the man who did it said himself. The same man that Covers for a lot of bad coaching.

Let me quote him you can both read and and hear it. "... He beat me to the spot. He cut me off. I just went back the other way and then I found a lot of space..."

I have no agenda here I say what I see which is why I also have no problem giving him praise like I did after game one. People making up stuff that did'nt happens to defend a bad coach is the real agenda here. Brunson does enough to cover up how bad of a coach Thibs is. No need to add lies to it. Give the credit to the person that deserves it. Brunson.

This will probably be the last time I talk true basketball here. Nothing outside of superficial sports fan talk. I love debating basketball but people can't admit something that clearly happened then say you are the one with an agenda.

The real reason why Brunson beat such an amazing defender so badly is because he pulled a vet move. Look at his off hand holding Ausar back from trying to beating him to the spot on the wing. This made Ausar go extra hard in that direction to still beat Brunson to that spot which he did. When Brunson noticed he would beat him there anyway he changed direction and the extra momentum needed to still beat Brunson to that spot made sure Asuar could not stop in time to change direction with him. Brunson is an amazing player and some fans still don't understand just how amazing he is. Just like how some fans did not understand just how much IHart did for us. Even if his stats did not suggest he was a star he was a star in the impact he had on this team.

Playing with house money now IMO. No one expects us to do anything including Knicks fans. This team needs a bench overhaul and probably a new coach next year. That said anything can happen in these games. Boston has lost series as heavy favorites before.

Dude you literally came on here, after we won a clinching game, to tell us how bad Thibs is by citing the play design of Cade's hot potato to Beasley. Then when its pointed out that the Knicks scored off of the timeout on a designed play where the false screen helps Brunson put his defender totally off balance and get space, you completely eliminate any credit for the coach. You have one view you are trying to perpetuate here - against the coach. Perpetuating a single ideology is the definition of having an agenda.

Big time performances from Brunson and Mikal. And OG too.

but just feels a bit bittersweet, KAT invisible again, Deuce and the bench has given us nothing.

KAT just isn't a guy you can trust to carry a team or even be a #2, and you have to put up with the lack of defense and constant whining. He doesn't impose his will the way a Brunson does. Trade looked like a steal early on but now it's pretty meh. Not sure we are much better than we'd be with Randle and DDV, not to mention another 1st rounder. We might actually be worse.

Lets see how we look against BOS, but I have a feeling this KAT experiment may be short lived.

So because we won the game I am to ignore our flaws? You see we have a whole season of proof I have no agenda against Thibs. I was defending him all last season. Little did I know it was the roster hiding his negatives because once iHart was gone they came back in full force. Like I always say I say what I see. This year Thibs has been bad. It's not an agenda to point out the truth. Just like when he made good decisions in game 1 I praised him. You like to ignore that though. It's cool, you are good with these 2nd round exits but they are not enough for me. Running it back next year with the same trash offense and defense that gives up wide open 3's the most in the league does not seem appealing to me.

^^ you guys should kiss and makeup. You root for the same team

I know KAT didn’t hit any miracle shots but he had 15 boards and our outrebounding them was an important factor.

Next series will be totally different dynamic. Two finesse teams each coming out of physical series

KAT definitely struggled the last 2 games. He missed some shots in the paint. We also could not free enough looks for him at 3 (though he passed out of one off the pick and pop which became a bad turnover). That steal he made was a key stop though. Still can't forget the enormous skill and clutch shots in Game 4. He was great about 50 pct of the series and not great the other 50 pct.

He will be guarded by Jrue Holiday or Tatum. Can you scheme enough open looks for him from 3? Can he take these guys deep in the post? Will be the challenge of this series.
