I'd sign him and ditch Seraphin or O'Quinn.

F Varjo, give me Beverly?

Beverly isn't gonna come free.

Though I have a feeling that Lawson will be waived soon. Did he and Melo get along in their brief time together?

He has a very reasonable cap friendly contract. Would love to see what our front court looks like with a guard who can hold his own on D.

dont get your hope up knicks fans...lol. this was predicted to be a very quiet trade deadline. phil even said that himself
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Another head shaker... they already have 2 starting point guards. So now they want another to back then up?

Salary dump for miami (their owner isn't happy with the luxury tax), and Portman are in sixers mode whereby they'll take on salary for picks

I get that but those trades do nothing on the basketball court to help these teams. If You fobs make that type of trade try to get players that help the team. All these trades feel random and rushed

Getting under the tax line will save the Heat millions of dollars. With Bosh possibly out for the season and maybe needing to retire, I don't think the Heat are in win now mode at the moment.

Doesn't matter in my opinion. You gotta help the team. They could have found a team with a dangling fwd that they could use. How do you expect to keep a locker room together if the GM is trading guys to save a couple million. Save the million and still try to help the team

$25M is a lot of money to anyone. I think the Heat know more about their own financial situation than you or me.

Rejected chasing trash- how embarrassing! I don't see any worthwhile deal getting done

Martin's contract is almost identical to Jose's. I wonder if we tried to push anything other than a 1 for 1 trade (maybe cash considerations) given the rumors Martin could be waived.

I'll bet that Minny was trying to pry Hernangomez from us...I remember that the late, and missed, Flip Saunders went overseas to scout KP, and he and other Minnesota folks probably got a good look at Willy.

And with the way things are going you see why. Phil is not going to trade the future just to save a couple million. Nor will he use the future to pick up bums like Shelvin Mack and Foye

Also, once you get under the tax, you get to split tax money from other teams, which probably winds up being +$3-4M per team
