Yeah and also Leslie who was one of the most athletic guys in the draft. Usually the guys left are flawed or were definite second round picks. Not sure why CJ Leslie wasn't drafted.

Watching the draft--the guy I thought wed get was Brown who really slipped. He cant shoot either but hes a good PG pick up at 52.

CJ Leslie is very flawed...just a ball of athletic talent but real offensive game...he loafs on defense...well see tho
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I thought Sacramento had the good draft. They got very athletic and skilled in the backcourt with 7 and 36. That was an A+

Memphis got Franklin and Koufus with 2nd round picks thats an A

I like what Detroit did. They really filled that Richard Hamilton spot and got even more athletic in the frontcourt with Mitchell at 37 and Siva in the backcourt. A

I think Portland had a nice start to the draft because i really like CJ McColum and he fel to 10 they also got back ups with Crabbe and Withey. I didnt like pick 45 but getting a potential star player and two solid NBA back ups is a good draft. A-

Boston got two skilled 7 footers and 3 number 1 picks to start their rebuild A-

Dallas also got an A- added tremendous speed with larkin and an upside player in Ledo. A-

Phoenix also gets a good grade of B+ They were able to get Len at 5 I think Goodwin over time will be good in up tempo and they got an athletic re bounder in Oak 6-9 260 with a 7-4 wingspan
With the addition of Leslie Id give the Knicks a B up from a C

I wonder if the Knicks could sign Kadji or Mwabke. Different types of players but I think they both will have roles on an nba team.

From Posting and Toasting:

What else did (and didn't) the Knicks do on NBA draft night?By Seth on Jun 28 2013, 11:48a  @seth_rosenthal 73

No second-rounders, but a couple potential Summer Leaguers anyway.
The Knicks wanted a second-round pick last night, but failed to acquire one. Recall that New York was (and will be for another few days) too cash-strapped to just purchase a second-rounder from another team. They would have had to negotiate a little trade or a cash exchange that wouldn't happen until after July 1. Anyway, that didn't happen. I misplaced the quote, but Grunwald said something to the effect of "we had lots of ideas, but other teams didn't like our ideas". Oh well. They didn't have much to work with and teams seem to cherish their picks a bit more these days.
The Knicks are already at work collecting undrafted bros, though. The Summer League team is starting to take shape:

Adrian Wojnarowski ✔ @WojYahooNBA
Undrafted N.C. State forward C.J. Leslie has reached agreement on a deal with the New York Knicks, league source tells Y! Sports.5:22 AM - 28 Jun 2013

Y'all know more about Leslie than I do, but I know he's a big kid who likes to do dunking and who was once regarded as a top prospect but didn't exactly flourish at N.C. State. Scott Schroeder-- the authority on these matters-- has Leslie in his top 15 undrafted players. Cool pick-up.
And, because the Knicks are super into initials, they'll bring in a local kid we've been hearing about for a while now:

Zach Braziller @NYPost_Brazille
Undrafted D3 center AJ Matthews tells me he will sign with #knicks.

Those two sound definite. There are others. Boban Marjanovic-- a massive, 24 year-old Serbian center-- is deciding between the Hawks and Knicks. Come hang with us, Bobi. (Yes, Bobi. Bobibobibobibobibobibobibobibobibobibobibobibobi.)
And remember that Jared Zwerling has been directing our attention toward point guard Toure Murry for a while now, and still is.
Those are the guys at least likely to join the Knicks in Vegas so far. Plenty of undrafted guys still havent' signed. As of this writing, I have not seen reports on Jackie Carmichael or Myck Kabongo, for instance, and I know a lot of P&Ters like those two. I've also been watching closely for news on Kostas Papanikolaou-- whose rights still belong to the Blazers-- and haven't seen anything new. They didn't trade his rights yet or anything, so that's good, or at least good for those of us who reaaaaallly want Papa in New York. He's drawing interest from everywhere, that guy.
So, the Knicks didn't draft anyone but Tim Hardaway Jr. Thursday night, but the front office did reach agreements with a couple other players. There will be plenty more to come. We'll keep an eye on that. In the meantime, Hardaway's going to get introduced at around noon, and I'll post about that if there is anything to post about. <3

Boban is 7'3 and weighs just under 300lbs according to draftnet. It would be nice to have someone that big to throw at Hibbert.

Yeah, you're right. Let's throw this guy at Hibbert. We'll go very far with that one.

Slow, but looks like a brick wall down low. Would love to take a flyer out on him.

Dwayne Davis aka right handed James Harden, signs with Golden State Warriors
Would love to have him on the Knick's especially if JR Smith is gone
We simply need great penetration and ability to finish, and he provides that
He is more of a project than Jamelle Hagins but I really like the both of them

Hagins is ready to contribute right away and has been consistent EVERY year of his 4 year career in college
He is improved every year, while his strength's are

REBOUNDING
SHOT BLOCKING
DEF
POST UP Abilities with facilitating skills
mobility for both ends

He really can do a bit of EVERYTHING and that is exactly what we need in addition to his strengths
I like CJ Leslie and Matthews but feel Haggins is the greater fit for the team as Trevor Booker/Dejuan Blair without injuries/ and Millsap comparisons
We need to get younger and we need many players that have the ability to get better and be part of our future plans (not 1 year players that likely can flee after one year of services)
Haggins provides that and we need to add 2 quality PG's to our roster as well, keeping/developing talented players to KEEP with us in 2015 should be our #1 priority while we conserve cap room but add pieces we can use beyond 2015 while adding 2-3 STAR's in FA class of 2015
In the mean time, we should look to add/collect as many assets as we can

Dwayne Davis Signs with Golden State Warriors
Davis earned First Team All-Conference USA last year.

Dwayne Davis

June 28, 2013

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss men's basketball player Dwayne Davis signed with the Golden State Warriors, Friday morning. He will participate for the Warriors in the NBA Summer League.

Davis earned First Team All-Conference USA last year, leading the Golden Eagles with 16.0 points, good for seventh in the league. He was also seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.413), 11th in free throw percentage, connecting on 78.7-percent and 14th in field goal percentage (.489).

"I am extremely happy for Dwayne," said Southern Miss head coach Donnie Tyndall. "As a graduate of Southern Miss, he has overcome a lot in his life. The Warriors are getting a great player and an even better person."

The Philadelphia, Pa., native scored in double-figures in 27 games and has led the team in scoring 12 times. He also pulled down 4.5 rebounds per game. He was also named to the All-Tournament Team of the Portsmouth Invitational.
