i think he feels he has 2k to just throw away, I will be happy to collect.... and this guy is throwing around threats... not wise.. he don't know me.. real talk... if martin will do it, this will be the easiest 2k i have ever made.....

actually it is the dumbest bet I have ever seen anyone make...

well do i get a piece of the 2000?

free money, why not, I will pay pal you some for the heck of it.... spend it how you like..

e

Papabear Says

Well lets set it up so you can win the 2k and prove me wrong and you get paid. I've spent money before and this is a gut feeling and I may be wrong but I don't think so.

papa worth more than money is for me to see you gone from here, lets do this now, get martin involved, he can prove it right now and the loser is done on this site for good... I am down with that.. I honestly don't believe you will send any money. I think this is the most honest deal that can be done.. I am sure martin can track IP's so that you can't come back... for me, this is like betting on a game that happened yesterday...

I, for one, will be real disappointed if nothing comes of this, either way, after all this online huffing and puffing.

as i said he is betting on a game that happened already and he picked the losing team pretty much knowingly.... I don't need his money as I don't expect him to pay or for martin to hold any money as he probably doesn't want to..... these stakes are better, board banishment... He needs to take this bet since he went all in this way... either way It works for me....

Why is this thread still open ???
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

i guarantee you that roughly 20% of the fanbase as a whole feels the way i do about the knicks. included are tkf fishmike 3g4g.

why is it so hard to understand that there are a significant number of people who simply see matters differently from the majority?

The interesting thing we all disagree in other areas of basketball so it's not like we run demo tapes(posts) past each other if efforts to get the approval or kind of response we're looking for.

Some here have a very difficult time wrapping their heads around the fact we've built iron clad cases against Melo.

Yes indeedy. His team is 2nd in the East, he's 2nd leading scorer in the NBA. Gallo's a breakout player on a .500 ball club. Wilson and Moz are in witness protection. Felton's on our IR. Lin's a hatcheck boy for Harden, when TD's not outplaying him. Make believe draft picks, cap space for invisible starphucques that exist only in your mind. Tell us again how you would have spent that 3 million in cash on something truly worth more than a stupid 29.2 ppg.

5 time All-Star
5 time All-NBA
2 Olympic Gold Medals-playing a key role
National Championship, MOP, All-American, All-Big East
Career 25 and 7 guy
Playoffs every year
Never below .500
2 50 Point games
All-Rookie Team
Robbed of the R.O.Y

Ironclad cases all the way.

Please 3G, don't give up your day job pleading cases before the US Supreme Court.

And save your guarantees for people who can't figure out that Somber Six does not equal roughly 20% of anything, let alone the fanbase as a whole.

Wait for the next three game losing streak before contributing to these insipidly redundant "the trade was worse than Dolan's rhoids" threads.

JRod is 100% correct. MElo is a BIGTIME regular season player.

I can't believe this threat is still going. TK and a few others have been baited mercilessly of late and shouldn't have to constantly have to defend their views. Its called and opinion for a reason and people (adults) should be MATURE enough to agree to disagree. Why do people seem so desperate to validate their own opinions.

And the "gotcha" posts or the "I owned him" posts are so damn childish I'm starting to think one of the webmasters here should start a "Ultimateknicks" youth section for those under 21 and those who act like they are under 21. Then maybe we can go back to having more civil discussions and fewer threads full of disrespect and outrage.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

LoL @ the assertion that TKF and a few others are baited mercilessly.

Anyhow, I could care less about their opinions and have not bothered to debate this rehashed / dead-horse subject as to ex-knicks in any real way the last few weeks. It is not clear to me why dk7th decided to quote me and then post a reply that was unresponsive to my post.

there has never been a more polarizing player on this forum than Melo. If your his fanboy it seems he is jesus christ, a natural leader, an MVP and any past failure is the result of poor teammates, poor coaching, unfair playoff matchups... its incredible it really is. All I have ever said is we broke up a good young team to bring this guy here and what has that yielded? But Im the leader of the hate, the somber six, etc etc

There is no discussing Melo here. Might as well try to open a discussion of dinosaur bones with creationsit christians or whether or not Mohammed was really the prophet with a group of muslims. You can expect the same level of discussion you get here with Melo.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Alright. I believe everyone is should be able to have and voice their own opinion. It sometimes approaches trolling, imo, on both sides but it is expected on a message board. At this juncture, I just want to see the Knicks do well which they are for the most part.

Without Melo, you never get chandler, much less Kidd and the other vets.

Amare started it all. NY paid a premium for him to get respect. It worked.

I am happy for Lee and Crawford. THey are doing well and I would trade Amare for Lee today but at the time, NY had to do what they did.

gony, you see the money we offered chandler? believe me, that is how we got him...
I think for the most part guys follow the money....

For sure, but having good players around doesn't hurt. If you can play with Amare and Melo and get paid, why the hell not???!!

This thread is weird.

Back on point, as of right now we are 0.5 games out of first in the East after playing pretty poorly for the last several weeks. I think if anything is biting us it's not going hard after someone like Reggie Evans instead of Camby. Has nothing to do with Melo. Melo is an MVP candidate. Unless he goes on a tear the rest of the way and we get the #1 seed he probably won't win it because of the suspension, missing games, etc. But I don't think there's anyone more valuable to their team this season in the league. CP3 and LeBron are the only other arguments you could win with.

2nd in the east is like being 5th in the west. We've had the 9th easiest schedule out of 30 teams.

To some extent gony.. had our offer to chandler been about 2 mil a year less, he doesn't come here... I am sure when the money is close, then they factor in other things, such as who is there playing, coaching, etc.... but to say they came here because of melo is not really true...

Give it a break Bonn, we're in uncharted waters. We haven't been this good and relevant in a while. Put down the analysis and glass half full outlook for a minute at least, you'll feel better.

I want to have a team that can get to the finals. We have to go through the East for that. We've beaten one of the best in the West (San Antonio) twice, once with our MVP having a bad shooting night and once without our starting PG. We've also beaten the defending champs twice, both blowouts and once without Melo. I like our chances in a 7 game series against Miami, Boston and Chicago....if we have to deal with the West in June I'll be overjoyed.

I know there's a lot of room for improvement, particularly on defense. But the only losses that have really worried me are the last 2 to Chicago.

Many of our other losses have been not at full strength, off of back to backs, etc. Take a look at our losses. The only really bad team we've lost to is the Kings.
