I can't believe this threat is still going. TK and a few others have been baited mercilessly of late and shouldn't have to constantly have to defend their views. Its called and opinion for a reason and people (adults) should be MATURE enough to agree to disagree. Why do people seem so desperate to validate their own opinions.

And the "gotcha" posts or the "I owned him" posts are so damn childish I'm starting to think one of the webmasters here should start a "Ultimateknicks" youth section for those under 21 and those who act like they are under 21. Then maybe we can go back to having more civil discussions and fewer threads full of disrespect and outrage.

There is no discussing Melo here. Might as well try to open a discussion of dinosaur bones with creationsit christians or whether or not Mohammed was really the prophet with a group of muslims. You can expect the same level of discussion you get here with Melo.

Anyhow, I could care less about their opinions and have not bothered to debate this rehashed / dead-horse subject as to ex-knicks in any real way the last few weeks. It is not clear to me why dk7th decided to quote me and then post a reply that was unresponsive to my post.

Alright. I believe everyone is should be able to have and voice their own opinion. It sometimes approaches trolling, imo, on both sides but it is expected on a message board. At this juncture, I just want to see the Knicks do well which they are for the most part.

Back on point, as of right now we are 0.5 games out of first in the East after playing pretty poorly for the last several weeks. I think if anything is biting us it's not going hard after someone like Reggie Evans instead of Camby. Has nothing to do with Melo. Melo is an MVP candidate. Unless he goes on a tear the rest of the way and we get the #1 seed he probably won't win it because of the suspension, missing games, etc. But I don't think there's anyone more valuable to their team this season in the league. CP3 and LeBron are the only other arguments you could win with.

To some extent gony.. had our offer to chandler been about 2 mil a year less, he doesn't come here... I am sure when the money is close, then they factor in other things,such as who is there playing, coaching, etc.... but to say they came here because of melo is not really true...

I want to have a team that can get to the finals. We have to go through the East for that. We've beaten one of the best in the West (San Antonio) twice, once with our MVP having a bad shooting night and once without our starting PG. We've also beaten the defending champs twice, both blowouts and once without Melo. I like our chances in a 7 game series against Miami, Boston and Chicago....if we have to deal with the West in June I'll be overjoyed.

I know there's a lot of room for improvement, particularly on defense. But the only losses that have really worried me are the last 2 to Chicago.

Many of our other losses have been not at full strength, off of back to backs, etc. Take a look at our losses. The only really bad team we've lost to is the Kings.
