It's not just the spreading of the floor, you also have to have player movement off the ball and the Knicks have done this before. I have a whole thread talking about this. You don't just spread the floor to stand around and watch. There's a natural rotation of player motion and PnR, that can lead to open shots.

Novak does not need to come back in the game. If your not going to actually use him he becomes a negative on the court.

Thats because Bonnie asked him to take higher pct shots - the chart said "closer to the basket"

Yeah and it is a bit frustrating when he wants a foul call so bad that he doesn't get back on defense when he doesn't get it. This is a playoff game. No time for nonsense.

Yes, this is what continually makes me think. Novak is one of the best shooters in the NBA right now. The Knicks are facing elimination and still they have not run one play, not one for Novak. The pacers used to run reggie off stagger screens and have him catch and shoot. Im not sure why the Knicks dont do the same with Novak.

They need to set a cross screen for him to get him better post position or more Hi/Low passing.

This game is probably done. Melo can't get position to save his life, maybe the chubster needs to hit the weights this summer.

were not going to beat this team playing ISO melo..it's why the bench made the run to get us up by 11..as soon as the starters came in with the melo ball, lead evaporates
