- Someone needs to tell Landry Fields to be ready to shoot the ball when he gets it. He looked really tentatiev and turned down a couple of good looks. Yeah Melo/Amare/Billups are on the team but if you have a good shot, take it. Half the time he passed out the resulting shot was contested.

- Anthony Carter was huge in the win over Miami but had no business playing 16 minutes. Then again we got the bad TD today. TD still looks like he's not quite sure what he wants to do when he's going to the hole vs Chauncey who is clearly going to the lane knowing where his pass is if help comes.

- We need to find a way to get Melo easier shots. Q did a great job on him but even before that he was taking unnecessary 3s and contested shots. In his defense what does the man need to do to get a call when he's driving to the hole?

- Memo to Amare..When Ryan Anderson makes you pay for leaving him..don't do it gain a few seconds later

- Qrich did to Melo what Carter did to DWade

Other than that Jameer Nelson pretty much just killed us this game. It sounds crazy but Fishlips might have been useful as MDA's tactic of playing him on quick point guards was effective from what I remember.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Melo has to realize that he has a team and doesn't have to take shots against 4 guys. It's a mentality that he's had and needs to learn to trust his teammates. He's got tons of help.

Most NBA players when they catch the rebound in the paint, they are going back up with it hard. Most times thats a bucket and/or a foul. Against Howard, it's a block. I don't blame him for going up with the shot. If he brings the ball down, he gets stripped, when your in the paint, no one is looking to kick it back out.

If he was dribbling into 4 people then yes, but this time no.
he had a bad shooting night, and they played good D on him. not sure what you want him to do. Since trade, 2-2. As long as we stay in the 6 spot, we're good.

Don't think Nixluva was referring to a specific play. I know I wasn't.

Dude hasn't been the same since the weeks leading up to the trade. I chalked it up to trade rumors, but now your still here, play like you were. What I see now is a timid guy on offense not looking for his shot. I'm not seeing him do the little things that made him pop, he's just another body on the court at the moment. And if your not going to hit your 3 ball, then what are you really giving us..

Our big 3 is on, we need more help from the supporting cast, sounds like a heat problem.

Cut it out the dude's a rookie. He played his heart out with the first edition of the team, then got jarred by the trade - he is going through a confidence slump. He will come out of it, he is solid.

So its not ok to give some critcism. I love fields, but right now we need him to play ball. Just play, you can see that he is thinking on the court. Just react, he is a rookie, but he's in the starting lineup with some talented players. He's got to step his game up a bit. Thats all im saying, everyone is on the hook.

The one winning effort, out of three games?

old knicks woulda lost all three.

old nine toe gallo wouldn't have changed the outcome in orlando tonight. if you believe that, u r delusional.

Hey, I didn't say anything of the sort. You guys are talking against a man of straw.

What did Gallo do the last time we played the Magic? 10 pts, 0 assists, 3 to in 43 min. That was after a ton of games wth the team. This team has been together 4 games smh. Too easy to make these types of points.

The team is 2-2 during the four games they have played together. Wow, counting is actually easier than you think.

agree completely about Jeffries and Landry.

though I have to say, it looked like Melo got fouled almost every time he made a move with the ball - and they called it maybe 1 time out of 3 at best.

i can't get over the ref bull**** tonight - that and jameer catching fire turned the game.

oh well, hope chauncey can play tomorrow.

This is something I will always have against D'antoni's system: the small lineup. While it may help you on some points of the game, the fact is that winning basketball needs a traditional lineup, especially if your star power forward isn't a great rebounder and defender.

This team needed to sign a real C and use him. I can understand Brown and tolerate Jeffries, but not waving Mason for another big body will cost us in the playoffs. This small ball against solid traditional teams will get you results like tonight.

We had this game for three quarters, but suddenly we stopped defending, we stopped getting rebounds and lost.

I will respect D'antoni when he starts using a traditional rotation for most of the games.

i watched the entire game too, didn't see where he went up against 4 guys. He drives, he was getting hacked. He is passing, I just don't see what everyone is looking for him to do. You can't cheer him when he makes the shots and big plays and then criticize him when he does the same thing and misses. What I saw, Melo taking it to the hoop hard, not getting calls. Was D'ed up pretty good and missed some jumpers. That's his game, he was off.

Who else besides him and stat were doing anything.

This game proved that we need a tall rebounding center. Also, we need a SG that will compliment Melo.

I see the big picture and for me, we're 2-2 post trade, so its ok.
But I'm just calling it how i see it. Fields needs to step his game up, all of them do.

Tall rebounding centers seem to be on the endangered species list these days.

I think Fields can adjust.

Jeffries will help the defense, but we have to realize that a center isn't coming any time soon... unless Jerome Jordan works out or we snag someone in the draft.

We took about the same. It evens out.

The refs didn't lose us the game. Our awful defense in the 4th did.

I really think Barron would have helped. The time he was here, Barron was a double double machine.

they don't exist. not sure any big man would of helped. howard is too good, gotta give him his due. But that being said, let him score 50 pts, i don't care, just don't leave anyone else.

the stat was there were over .500 when more than 5 players score double digits. Translation, stay home!!

That and another pitiful rebounding effort from Amare. I love the guy but he needs to get some rebounds. Zero rebounds in the 1st half is disgraceful.
