While Crawford shot well, I still don't think he's fitting the system very well. He made some tough shots, but those don't always fall.

Way too much one on one dribbling and random hoopla from him.

If the Heat started this comeback earlier in the 4th, they would have won.

If you're gonna change one thing, what else might have changed?

No Crawford at all. The only shot the guy can hit in the wide open one. Or when he gets hot. Besides that, he is the king of inconsistency.

The team also desperately needs some interior defense because it is one of the worst in the league.

Anyway, this is not a finished product. By that I mean I'm not getting upset or going gaga either. I just make the observations as I see them. Years down the line we will be able to better judge this team and discuss their needs. I hope when we are doing that, we will be talking about adding a piece to complete our championship puzzle and not looking where to deal fatso Curry or Randolph.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Nice to see that as opposed to the stoic, unmoving, deer-in-headlights, stoneface we're normally used to, eh?

I love how they said Eddy had to be sent back to the locker room to "ice his knee."

I LOL'ed.

That 4th quarter bothers me more. They gave up 40 points. It is more of the same. Why do they do that? This has been a plauging issue that has gone on for more than a decade. Why can't the Knicks just blow guys out? Good game for Crawford and Lee. Great game for Chandler. 17points 9 rebounds in 23 minutes. I like to see what he can do with 30+ minutes. Oh well Q Rich played pretty good.
I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni

They won, but they gave up 70 points in the second half to Miami, that is not good, they almost gave it to them.

Yeah I had to check my eyes when I saw they gave up a 40 POINT 4TH!!! That to me sounds like they tried to put it on cruz effort wise or they got tired. Either way they have to learn how to close games even playing at this speed. You can still play fast but slow it down at the same time. Just make sure you only take wide open shots, which will likely mean making more passes.

Still you have to take note that they shot 48.3% and 36%d from 3!!! That's the whole idea of MDA's system. Shoot a better % than your opponent and you can win most nights.

Everyone keeps saying Malik, Marbury, Curry, Collins should not be in the rotation!! If you guys keep on like this, we won't even have a rotation of eight players anymore. Look at the bright sides of this whole thing.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Anyone see Marbury with his arms crossed with that pissed off look on his face, at the end? That guy is ready to kill Mike D'Antoni.

D'antoni did him a favor. It would've been worse to put him in for five garbage minutes.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I do admit D'Antoni is the First Head Coach since Van Gundy that has gotten that animated when the team messes up, that tells how dead our Head Coaches have been for the last 8 yrs at least, so you gotta love Mike D, he is the best we have had in a long time, AMEN to that!.

Yeah, I figure he's gonna light the team like a Christmas tree for that 4th quarter.

In a way that 4th qtr was the best thing to happen from a coaching perspective. He'll have tons of ammunition to get on the guys about in terms of defensive effort. They can't sit back and feel content with this win, cuz of how poorly they finished the game.

I'd attribute the poor 4th to two things- lack of interior D and lack of consistent shooting. Still every team in the NBA gives up a run, and we had our lead quite early on in the 2nd half.

In the draft I'd be looking at a running big- someone like Thabeet or if we are better, Jordan Hill.

Marbury's interesting reaction:

“He should do whatever he feels he should do. I can’t control what he does. He’s the coach,” said Marbury, who said he understood D’Antoni’s decision. “If this is what it is, I mean there’s always next year.”
