Um...our frontcourt has one blocked shot. one. one. Our backcourt has 2 blocked shots.

yes, and you said their front court was better than ours because it was such a great shotblocking collection. I mean, these are your arguments. or did you edit them again?

No..You just can't seem to comrehend what you read. I said that their frontcourt played batter as a unit than ours.

I comprehend what you are saying, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it.

Never said you had to agree with me. You wanted to roll out stats-you did in your post on page 8 at 9:26pm, the first post including stats-and I rolled out my stats. You used 1 games worth of stats which we clearly outplayed them(this game), I used a game which they clearly outplayed us(the first game).

My philosophy is to take solid over high risk high reward. As I maintained through the whole conversation, we have better individual pieces with a higher potential. I also maintained that the Celts trio-to me-fits together much better than the trio we have assembled because they do not duplicate each other's strengths. Curry and Frye duplicate each other in that they don't rebound well consistently(but Frye seems to be coming around) and both are offense first defense last(although again, Frye is coming around big in the passion department)players.

Reading comrehension is fundamental to reading. I said OUR FRONT LINE HAS MORE TALENT but THEIR FRONT LINE IS BETTER PUT TOGETHER AND COMPLIMENTS EACH OTHER BETTER!

I do not understand why you don't get this. I already said we had better players about 4 responses ago. The OUR PLAYERS ARE BETTER INDIVIDUALLY and THEIR PLAYERS ARE BETTER AS A UNIT.

you aren't proving your point. you say one game doesn't matter then promptly show me one game where Boston played better. I don't see them complimenting one another at all. I don't see a good post option on offense on their team, I don't see a good rebounder outside of Pierce.

And what are you proving? You're saying that we have better players(right now), which I agreed with and you have brought up the numbers from tonights game as proof of your argument. I brought up how they outplayed us with 2 guys when we first played them. You don't want to compare using one game, don't start comparison using one game as a barometer.

The Celts played like crap this game. The Knicks played very well.

Jefferson averages 10 pts, 7 rebs, and a block a game(he missed the first 7 games due to apendectomy)
Perkins averages 5 pts, 6 rebs, 2 blks.
Gomes averages 10 pts, 7 rebs, 2 assists,

Frye averages 7 pts, 5 rebs
Curry averages 13 pts, 6 rbs
Lee averages 9 pts, 8 rebs, 1 steal.

I rounded everyone down. If you didn't average the full number, it was rounded down.

if you're talking about how they play as a unit, I don't see how their individual numbers have anything to do with anything. and, again, you're talking about their small forward without talking about ours, so I don't even see the point. and all those numbers changed tonight anyway, the Knicks numbers got better and Boston's got worse.

but talking about how they play as a unit is subjective. what's the final judgement? record? we have a better record than them on a much tougher schedule. this is a ridiculous discussion, you're free to covet their front court and think about how well they play together.

You threw stats into it with this post
hmm, and yet we're beating that well constructed team by 20. Lee is outrebounding that trio almost by himself - Frye Curry Lee are outrebounding their trio 27-17. outscoring them 37-14.

Balkman, Jefferies, Lee and Frye will all give us about a block a game. I don't know what you're complaining about. the problem is not the front court, it's Marbury and Francis' drama and the fact that we have no real deal starters to replace them at PG/SG - though I'd start Crawford/Robinson and bring Mardy off the bench and maybe put QRich at starting SG.

We played very good defense those games, if I remember correctly, it was primarily zone, no? I hope Zeke stays with this.

it's almost as if our frontcourt is starting to compliment one another...

but I agree, we need to use the zone, at least sometimes, and definitely to hide Eddy's horrible D.

Zone covers Curry's bad D and helps him rebound because he doesn't need to move or think. He is just planted in the middle. And it helps his offense because he isn't expanding any energy on D. This is a case of the system making him a better rebounder than he actually is.

I don't care if it inflates his numbers if it gets us wins.

Yeah. the next step is harder - ridding ourselves of Marbury and Francis.

he's been asked to come off the bench once - the only time his minutes have been taken away is when he plays like crap. after the crap Larry put him through last year, this probably feels like heaven.
