Are NBA coaches allowed to fine players?

i don't know, but GMs are, so same difference
I'd fine anyone who doesn't have his hands up on D.

You guys have to realize, there were many years where the Knicks were bad. We are Knick fans and love our team through thick and thin and it's tough to support this team, but a true fan, even if they feel like killing themselves and jumping to another team has to realize that this team is not a good team.

I think Isiah will be done this year, and it will take a few years for the Knicks to get to the playoffs. Until then, don't push so hard with your hearts into believing in this team. This is a ****ty era and we need to regroup and we will. If they are 3-7 to start the season, which it looks possible, then I think it's over. But don't get all upset. There are more important things in life.

I'm never jumping ship. I bleed orange and blue so I will always be a Knicks fan.

Thats why watching a team like this hurts so much. If we were in a rebuilding stage and playing young guys, it would be understandable because at least there is hope in the future. I would pay to watch a young rebuilding Knicks team play if they played hard and smart. However, no one wants to watch this team play. We aren't rebuilding, we aren't good enough to win now. I think Isiah is making up his plan as he goes along and it is ridiculous. I really gave this guy a long time but its clear that as we approach Isiah's 3rd year here, he has done nothing to improve the state of this franchise and has instead set it back.

Thank god. I've always been an NBA person and have never enjoyed college basketball more than professional basketball, but I have a feeling my college's basketball team will replace the Knicks as my favorite team this season if we continue to play like this.

Who would that be?

Is it me or does Marbury look like he's just going through the motions right now? He's an average player, when he's not aggressive.. Someone needs to get him the memo, ASAP!

Get your arse in gear Steph, WTF

Frye riding the bench, right where he should be until he gets his head straight.

How much does it cost to get players that will get back on defense? Obviously $120M isn't enough.

Curry's calling for the ball but Sneaker Boy thinks a challenged fallaway by him is a better idea.

Exactly, he's not a complimentary player at all and I'm surprised Isiah hasn't realized that yet. To get the most out of Marbury, you really need to give him the ball a whole lot and basically let him be as aggressive as he can be. Either way, he's playing horribly.

However, you can't do that on this team because you have Francis, Crawford, Nate, Curry, Frye (when he is normal), and Q-Rich. We have way too many guys that need to score to be effective. As we are seeing with most of these players, if they don't score, they are crap on this team. That shouldn't be a surprise.

Frye, Curry, and Nate are young so you hope that they improve to a point where that is no longer the case (although Curry has been in the league for awhile now).

Clyde said it perfectly in the last game. The very good players are able to remain consistent in the other facets of the game even when their shot is off. We don't have that at all.

Oh well, here's to hoping that we finally get someone competent to run this franchise soon.
