I can't wait for Marbury to play Iverson, Wade, Hinrich, and Billups in the coming six games--that will be a test.

Why is this just about Marbury? This is about the KNICKS playing Philly, Miami, Chicago and Detroit. Not Marbury.

To see how effective he can be when playing against top notch competition--can he score, initiate the offense, AND guard AI? I want to see how good of a team player he is against the best.

Not only to see how he matches up, but to compare him against the game's best PG's...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

It will be the games against those great players and good teams where Marbury will have to get everyone involved and the team will have to play together to win.

Yup, that'll be the test to see if Marbury is or isn't the same player he's been his entire career.

^ you could just as easily have said that the Blazers lost this game on free throws and turnovers...

That would suggest they lost more b/c of them, and less b/c of us.

Which reinforces my point that we're still a lottery team.

Let's just STOP the bickering and just ENJOY the Knicks win like Knicks FANS. It's no one's responsibility or obligation to rain on anyone's parade today, 'cause it ain't happening.

The Knicks won a GOOD game today. Let's enjoy it! Steph, Channing and Jamal did the damn thing. Let's discuss the possibility of seeing more of THAT, not some negative silliness.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I'm not even sure I'm much of a fan this year.

More like a spectator.

So I think I'll continue to rain or snow or hail on your parade the entire season as I see fit...

Lets not give the blazers too much credit...the knicks had something to do with the portland turnovers.

I'm with HardCore, I say it was a good game and I'm stinking to it!

I'll give our team kudos on half of the turnovers.

The other half involved Miles travelling a bazillion times, and a bunch of offensive fouls coupled with all-around inefficient play by Portland...

That's the poo-poo on Portland after we wiped our azzes with 'em!

Root hard, Reezy!

Make no excuses, this is a free market society. It's your right to jump on and off as you see fit. You didn't have to mentioned that. It was obvious from your very first post. Or from your get rid of Crawford posts to now keep Crawford and its Marbury's fault posts.

That would suggest they lost more b/c of them, and less b/c of us.

Which reinforces my point that we're still a lottery team.

Most NBA games are decided by about 6-8pts. They're ALL decided by FTs and TOs. If the Knicks can continue shooting FTs better and turn the ball over less as they learn the offense, this team will win more of those close games like the GSW games and the first POR game. The important thing about the FTs today was that Craw, Marbs, Curry and Frye took the majority of them. Those are our big offensive stars and most of them shoot well from the line. Those guys getting FTs means they're being aggressive. If that continues, we'll get more wins.

Let's not forget that the Knicks have had 7 road games thus far. I think they're doing fine. I hope Brown tells Marbury to play the game the same way in Charlotte. The team needs him to be aggressive and iniate the offense. Other players, like Craw and Curry, will start getting better looks and lighter coverage once Marbury is rolling.

Or you could say that we lost almost every one of the games we lost because of our free throws and turnovers. By your logic, we are a championship team then.

Good post. I too am hoping for the same focus and effort versus Charlotte. I'd also like to see how Curry does (given his return).
