At the end of the day both candidates flawed but my personal take is that people genuinely hate Hillary Clinton and do not like that she breaks the law. Trump is a big mouth and braggghhhadacious but I think he means well and has some good ideas. Hillary knew about trump leaked tape months ago and that was her gig and now she's done RIP Crushalot😞

![]() reub wrote:Why do the same people who loved FBI Director Comey just yesterday morning suddenly hate him today? First of all this is a lame talking point. No one hates Comey but what he did was wrong. Such a vague letter would create doubt and a vacuum for Hillary opponents to fabricate lies! He may have felt he had no choice but really he was looking to cover his own ass. Also why not make it clearer that the FBI hadn't actually gone through all these emails and that they had to get a warrant allowing them to dig into Huma's emails so they don't know what they have? |

![]() I listened to Trump and Hillary today and noticed Trump was on talking points. Immigration, economy, he was hittin all the topics that mattered to the public. Hillary in the other hand brought nothing no economic, no immigration, absolutely nothing. Just an observation.

Because he Midtown west was not as pleasant as it is today. Hillary coining the term Super-predators is worse than anything Giuliani did or has been misguidedly accused of doing. |

Hillary did not coin the term Super-predator...John Dulio, professor at Princeton University wrote a paper about the spike in crime rate in the 1990s and coined the phrase in his paper...Hillary is just one of many politicians who sited the paper as a study on crime and repeated the term..Republicans were successful in attributing term to Hillary like most other ills in the world.. |

Yea, but Opening paragraph of the article: From his perch as the director of the new White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, which he believes will help uplift many needy people but particularly the most troubled teenagers, John J. DiIulio Jr. conceded today that he wished he had never become the 1990's intellectual pillar for putting violent juveniles in prison and condemning them as ''superpredators.'' ![]() Semantics means "meaning" in language. So if you are going to condemn her for using the term, its appropriateness, and her cupability in any racist undertones to it, we are literally talking about semantics. So to say that's "semantics at best" to downplay the discussion around it is ridiculous. Semantics is literally the crux of the discussion.
The guy who came up with the phrase obviously doesn't think he was being racist, nor does he want to accept responsibility for the increased incarceration rates. He literally says in that article: ''I'm sorry for any unintended consequences,'' Mr. DiIluio said today. ''But I am not responsible for teenagers' going to prison.'' Hillary when she used it at the time didn't see it as racist either. It was a theory based on research and predictions that became policy and later proven faulty. Sometimes politically popular theories and predictions turn out wrong you know. You can see this in the Rockefeller drug laws, the Moynihan Report, all sorts of policies that were implemented with the best of intentions but had fatal flaws or blindspots that become glaringly obvious decades later. They don't think they are being racists. But white supremacy is great at creating blind spots. (I'm not calling them white supremacists either... it's more about the "soup" we are all swimming in as a society, if you feel me.) So it's funny to see Trump-friendly folks — or Clinton-hating folks — co-opt the superpredator line of attack they learned from Black Lives Matter protestors. It's cute, because it's not an honest alignment of views, it's just a way to attack. We could have a real discussion about criminology from an "enlightened" 21st century perspective post-BLM... but it's a discussion that runs exactly opposite to the viewpoints of a Giuliani and "Law and Order" Trump. So to superficially use both Giuliani and a BLM perspective to take down Clinton isn't reading to me as very intellectually honest. Baba Booey 2016 — "It's Silly Season"

![]() Let me be clear: Hillary most certainly said "superpredators" and talked about "bringing them to heel" while defending the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act her husband signed into law, in a 1996 speech in lily white New Hampshire. Those word choices are her bad, fo' sho. Joe Biden was the Senate sponsor of that bill incidentally. The intention was to get a handle on some serious crime problems we were having in the US at that time.
However time has not been so favorable to this legislative act, and certainly not to her words, which she now regrets. It lead to a dramatic increase in incarceration rates and a massive prison population — a shameful legacy for decades to come. It all goes to the complicated situation with the Clintons and the "Third Way" "New Democrats" — the co-opting of Republican "Law and Order" rhetoric and policies for electoral gain, so they can nip the "soft on crime" label Republicans always put on Democrats. She said those words and should be held accountable. But she didn't "coin" the term or the theory. Same thing with her Iraq "War" authorization vote: she voted yes for it, but she wasn't alone, and it wasn't a declaration of war, so W didn't have to send troops in. He just really wanted to. So how she gets the blame for it all... it's too much. And I'm sorry, Trump or Rinse Pubis trotting out this line of attack like they are BLM protestors rings hollow. She does have ideas, she has plenty of energy — that energy line is super lame... but I agree she is focusing too much on attacking Trump and not laying out her own vision, and hides from press scrutiny too much. Can you please stop repeating those dumb "no ideas, no energy" parts of your thesis? Baba Booey 2016 — "It's Silly Season"
