LOL...I knew this was coming....I watched the entire 4th quarter. He looked pretty good. Knocked down a few open looks like we all knew he could do. Played with good poise as well. However, he scored 12 of his 16 against a mix of end of the bench players and a few that will not make an NBA roster. Also, he looks very small on the court.

BTW, Maxey looked good as well. Hit a couple of floaters in the lane and made a really nice reverse lay in over one of their bigs..But, similar to Pritchard, most of his damage came in the 4th...Its a good start for both of them...

Other rookies........If they are playing on established playoff teams they will look good. Here its not so clear.
Its why developing via draft is not easy. Read 100 1248 posts and chase your tail. At some point one gets traction and then good things happen. I’ll keep telling my self this over and over.

NY media will brainwash fans into anger. Today story is reads Giannis extends and it relates to knicks? Lack of FA talent and that we have cap space which sounds “stupid” and “Inability to attract talent”. There is truth to that but also somethings are beyond control. Durant was a rare commodity that actually was in play. Twice. I applaud e his path actually because he took the risks.
I haver read this week again how “If knicks were patient melo would have been available as free agent”. That is not how it played out. At the moment Dolan stepped over Walsh in his wheelchair and consummated this deal with Denver, he had to outbid Nets who had him and a likley promise to resign. And it would have been stupid financially for Melo to play it any other way.

Reality check here: Knicks don’t have a lot of hype. RJ is very very good but we temper our excitement because he is not Kobe yet. We really drank some kool aid thinking Mitch was a star but he is still a goofy prospect who likes to collect agents. Some players like to collect sneakers. Most of us have fatique from our guard situation and tired of all this bottom dwelling stuff.

Lesson: Giannis did what was best for him and Milwaukee demonstrated a commitment financially. They can always trade him. The winning thing I gather is important but not at the risk of financial ruin. He blows out a leg the endorsement money also goes away. Winning in life outside the court is also important. If he wants to fund philanthropic goals that too is “Winning”!! Takes money. At the end of the day the vanity of a championship pales to building a hospital were healthcare suffers.
Miami did things right but they took a risk to resign Butler who was a bit of a problem in Minny. It worked out.

Knicks need to keep putting their head down and build from within. From there Trade assets can grow and accumulate. Seems we been trying to do this for years. We have. Seems like why bother since it failed? In 10 years we are now on our third group to try this and succeed better. You rebuild because you have no choice. KP was a disaster. He was a diva, he got hurt, our coaches did not help matters, and our Front office did not play the hand well. Blame has many faces here and it was just very unfortunate at many levels. Set us back 3years.

Nicely said. Luck is also a big part of team construction. We are due some someday.

Sure you saw you boy Nesmith that game as well?

What, no mention of Nesmith's 1-5 performance from 3? No worries, Glenn Rice wasn't built in a day.

Paul George said he never wanted to leave Indy, resigned after traded to OK and said he wanted to retire there, now set to make 35mm this year extension 4 more years super max and naturally saying all the right things. Funny, last season of deal is 48mm at a “Player option”. As if.
Paul is 30.
sounds crazy but many of these deals do also. Given what they gave up for him they had to do this deal.
CP3 was looking bad until he went full vegan on a young OKC team well coached. The good ones are able to stay relevant.
Is PG13 that kind of player? Not our issue unless we trade for him! LOL
