![]() smackeddog wrote:Im so glad! Dude its like the best show ever. Season 2 just gets started but now you get what's happening. Season 3 is my favorite, but the whole thing is so good and worth rewatching at a later date and you will understand why. Some of the character arcs are wild and characters you didnt like at first will feel like personal friends. I also believe its the best sci-fi and really get space battles and the utter peril of them right (and there's more of that)fishmike wrote:martin wrote:I would say the first season is tough for some because there are so many plots and story lines its tough to sort out what you are supposed to care about. Its just a lot to take in. However that does get sorted and you get so many great things with this show. Amazing character arcs and the science is great. Starting with the basic understanding that space battle is terrifying and just how everything makes sense. Probably 90% of my favorite female fictional characters come from the Expanse.fishmike wrote:BigDaddyG wrote:Expanse might be the best sci-fi EVER. I binged 1-3. When 4 came out I binged 1-3 again. Wary of bitcoin and the like. They need massive amounts of electricity to make it work. They need to find BTW did you get that cookbook I recommended "The Food Lab"? Ordered another science based cookbook. Its based on a course taught at Harvard. Interesting stuff. |

After finishing the last Star Trek Discovery..I started Star Trek Enterprise. It was OK but I gave up on it after 3 episodes. So I started "The Expanse". Season 1 was kinda slow and you guys were right. It's a world building season. Season 2 and Season 3 are awesome. I can't stop watching it. My favorite character right now is Chrisjen. That old lady is smart and fearless. Bobbie is awesome. I also love the Roci crew. |

You made the right call on Enterprise- absolute trash, it sunk the franchise for over a decade! I’m still enjoying The Expanse too (I watch one ep a week so am still back on season 2), glad I stuck with it through the first season- thanks to everyone who recommended it! |

I'm sure he learned his lesson his lesson from what happened to the Game of Thrones television series. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

Wary of bitcoin and the like. They need massive amounts of electricity to make it work. They need to find I bought this machine It has a rx 5500xt 8 GB graphics card. Which is like JVG’s civic in the world of GPUs. When I look how much I am forecasted to make for the month, it waivers between $70 to $140 a month. I think the machine will pay for itself in 10 months but who knows. If you are fortunate to get a powerhouse GPU, you could earn 6x that a month. Really the only thing to note is you will be mining ETH if you decide to try, and mining as know it will die off in 2023... As you point out, they want to be more energy efficient. Starting in 2023 it switches from Proof of Work (mining) to Proof of Stake (you become the bank) so there is a limited window to mine if interested. Me, I just needed an upgrade and thought it would be cool if it paid for itself I got the book you recommended but I haven’t worked my way through it... I actually made a massive food science pivot partially inspired by our exchanges. I started fermenting my own hot sauce. I love love love hot sauce and frankly I hate buying it because it’s a rip off This is my base recipe It is really hard to find good recipes, but I have found some on r/hotsaucerecipes DLeethal wrote:

There's supposed to be some connective tissue with the next Dr. Strange, so yeah, there'll probably be a cliffhanger of some sort. I'm glad they opened the door for Vision to come back to life. I keep a wish list of cookbooks, when you mentioned fermentation, I thought of one of those books. Its another food science cookbook about mold based fermentation. Honestly dont know much about it, but it looks very interesting. Thanks for the links, will check them out. Making my own hot sauce would be fun. |

I’m certainly attracted to fermentation based ‘cooking’... I think one of the biggest components of cooking is melding flavors and I think there is no better way to accomplish that than fermentation DLeethal wrote:

https://www.netflix.com/title/80202829 This documentary focuses on the life of Biggie Smalls, the 1990s New York City rapper. Most documentaries about him focus on his violent death and the conspiracy theories surrounding the shooting. This one looks at Biggie’s early life and rise to fame. |
