they are the same in the fact that neither can come close to Rose's penetration, and they are far from aggressive when it comes to offense.

Last season everybody on this board wanted nothing more then a guy that can get to the basket and finish like rose, now you got one of the best in the league and ya'll can't wait to get rid of him.

We did expect some sort of defensive effort and passing to go with it. Please tell me what rose brings apart from getting to the basket? Players need to be good at at least 2 things otherwise they cost more than they bring

I'm not sure Collison's value as a stop gap and Mentor for a younger PG is as high as your making it.
I like Collison but just cuz he shoots better doesn't mean he'd be better for our team or a better mentor. IMO Rubio is a better stop gap if we can't land a PG in the draft.

Its about talent and fit... Rose is averaging 17/4 for us and we suck. Thibs wants to play an attacking style like he did in Chicago. Passing and play making from the PG is not the style he wants. The Knicks want to play a team game and we all want Kristaps and Willy to get the ball more. Rubio is currently 5th on the league in assists. Since the new year Rubio has been averaging 10 assist a game... breaking off 15,-17 assist games a few times.

We need a pg that is a willing passer... well over 30 players in the NBA average more assist a game than Rose.... Dude his back up point guard Jennings averages more assists and he's playing just about half the minutes..... that's all our problems right there.

Not sure it makes us much better, but I think it is worth it.

Who now has more talent on their roster than us going forward...Are we the only ones slightly interested in Rubio??

We don't suck because of Rose, or Melo for that matter...We suck because the coach doesn't coach defense..Will Rubio make the Coach coach defense???

Your assist numbers will be lower when Melo have to carry the offense...The guy who takes the most shots creates for himself..Does Jennings play with Melo, what are his assist numbers when he plays with Melo??..What was his assist numbers when Rose was out??..These things aren't hard to figure out...

What does it really matter...We are building in circles..We have no direction...We certainly aren't winning anything...

we suck because we have two players that have strong personalities that the coach cant criticize or he will lose the team. Two players who do nothing to make teammates better, play zero defense and are ball stoppers. If only we could surround Melo/Rose with another DPOY, a HOF PG and high end role players. Time to open your eyes. No team is winning anything with a 32+ year old Melo as the alpha player. Its at the point where we have good young players and these guys are stunting their growth. No ball movement and nothing but stopping.

Kevin McHale was on ESPN this morning and he talked about what drives this league and its not the role players, its the ability of your best guys to make others around them better. We dont have that with this two. Melo is very popular and liked, but he's no longer a great player and this dynamic is hurting us.

You will come back and say some crap about a stronger coach. Look at what MDA is doing with the Rockets. You need players to buy in. The only thing Melo buys into is surround me with great players while I shoot all night long. Sorry dude.

No one plays defense on this team..No one...You choose to see only two guys not playing defense...And please save me the speech about ball stoppers...Jordan and Kobe were ball stoppers taking 25 and 28 shots per in the playoffs..What did Phil say then???..Ewing was a ball stopper...I don't need McHale to draw X's and O's for me to understand what happening..You and other are just gullible and waiting for confirmation on what you want to believe..

MDA team is giving up 108 points per game and you think it's buying in..Anyone can buy into not playing defense and shooting threes all day..What happens in the playoffs??
