OK4 is out of shape..No lift on that shot..The 82 game/travel schedule will test who can hack it..When OK4 gets in shape and works on his ft, he will be a beast..

we know that he can be a beast in the post. We dont know if he will be in NBA shape at all times, if he will play passable defense, if he will be fat, if he will pout in philly, if he will be able to stretch the floor at all.

would I have picked him? Of course!

I think that KP has a bigger upside on both ends, especially in a more modern offense.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Why not give our boy some credit, though? NDour also had a great block on OK4, too.

You a Knicks' fan or a player groupie?

KP played later into the year than OK4, has had a slight injury, and also played yesterday. OK4 has had a couple of days rest.

Give credit where credit is due.

I think Phil would have taken OK4 if he had to choose between the two, but we may have gotten a special player, and he gave you an idea of what he can do to help a team win, even without gaudy numbers.

I remember Donovan was desperate for guards and he got Wilbekin to enroll a year early. He's definitely added more polish to his game. He has always been a solid defender. He should be the third PG on someone's bench this season.

He has always been a better 3pt shooter than scorer/2pt shooter. It one of the reason why I think he cn have a Beverely type career. Grant only did things when he wasn't guarded by Wilbekin. The knicks brought him in last year and he had the second best ever conditioning time. Prigs is the record holder.

Fun game to watch. We did not look great at times, but came through.

Some big blocks in the end on OK4 by KP and Ndour.

Ndour a keeper, and KP came through when you needed him most, although he he a foolish play to send the game into OT.

It's not about OK4 versus KP..They both will be at minimum decent players..KP I think is a few years away given his strength..But I can see OK4 contributions because he is more NBA ready..Acknowledging a guy's talent is not a knock on another player...

WFT are u talking about??..Give credit..U and I have been talking about Ndour in other threads,,I have said multiple times in this thread alone about him as well...The best player ont he court is OK4..What does that have to do with the Knicks??..You guys are so protective of players that u think talk of the other team's star is a knock on the entire Knick team..Crazy...

We talking basketball here or just homerism??

If everyone liked him then I'm all for I'm. Problem is that there is a 0 percent chance we get him. Ok glad our young buckets player well today. How was early on defense today?

Because he is terrible at blocking out. He doesn't attack the ball. Needs to go to the Moses Malone school of rebounding.

OK4 clearly has great talent. I'm just glad we also got a great young prospect cuz it would be a shame to come out of this draft and not get a top talent as well. Then when you throw Jerian into the mix it was a great draft for us.

But I sense if something is said positive about the other team or player then its taken as a knock against the Knicks..Silly and Childish..I'll leave u guys to it..

Awesome. That is what I hoped, he got me worried in the first game.

very true. I like porzingis upside a bit more because he can do a bit of securing. Just needs to get stronger

I don't care. I just have the same reservations that I had about OK4 all along.

I did not feel the need to knock Russell because he had a bad game. Anyone who judges based on a couple of summer league games is nuts.

I love bigs who can play defense and who have unlimited range. We seem to have gotten one who has the potential to transcend the game.

Ok4 has great great post moves. We know that. What else can he do? How much more upside is there?

so here is what phil is thinking ....

one of the bigger ifs. what'd you think of the play where he gets stuffed by slim lanky and then decides a shot to the chin with the elbow is in order no less? i think it was a bitch move and showed a lack of character....

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I like Porzingis but I almost jumped through the ceiling when the Lakers took Russell and I thought the Knicks had a shot at Okafor. I thought Hinkie would take Porzingis or Mario.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
