Papabear Says

This was truly a great game. I had to sit down on the edge of my favorite chair and shout and yell. The defense that Shump is doing is great but I kind of worry about him driving to the basket for a layup. He seems to get lost or not using the type of english on the ball to put it in. Otherwise his 3s are butter. Melo is just great he is dishing the ball out and Felton is just fantastic. I am worried about JR Smith because if he gets suspended for the next game we will then get a glimpse of what life will be without JR next season if he signs with another team.

JR barely grazed Terry and that was only due to Terry being up on him and not giving him any breathing space.
Even if JR is suspended I am glad this play happened.

We have proven we can handle this team and I am glad the Knicks have gotten a taste of some of the intensity that is sure to await them in the ECF and Finals if they battle that far.
This will be a good lesson for JR and the rest of the team going forward.

The rule of thumb should be, only James White is allowed to get into scuffles with other team's stars... lol

I was impressed with how business like the Knicks were (aside from the JR flagrant). Didn't let the emotions surrounding the game get to them, just went out and did what they had to do. This is a good sign.

What I find funny is that sig banner some Celtics fans have on the realgm forum. It was created before the playoffs started and intended to be ironic- that anyone believing those things were about to be proved wrong. Now it reads as a pretty accurate assessment of where the Celtics are at and how dire their roster is...:

Smacked dog - to your point, here is a gem from o Celtics blog site at SBNation

10. This is the Knicks we're talking about.

Again, it's the Knicks. They're creaky and fragile. Their knees are gimpy and their feet are falling off. Jason Kidd has been in the league since 1981. Marcus Camby has an AARP card. Kurt Thomas is an actual fossil, disguised as a human being wearing a basketball uniform.

I'm not saying they can't win a playoff series. But it still does seem a bit far-fetched, and I'm not willing to believe it until I officially see it. Until further notice, the Celtics are still alive, still fighting for the right to advance in these Eastern Conference playoffs.

Hey maybe J.R. Smith "WILL LEARN" or wait "HAS HE LEARNED"....well I hope the elbow was worth it as it prolonged the series probably more than necessary. Also Melo you can't shoot 42 PACENT or less in the playoffs regularly, it's cute during the regular season but not in the post-season. You gotta learn at some point you can't just chuck chuck chuck chuck chuck chuck chuck chuck chuck chuck chuck chuck until your hearts desire.

Come on Man....

Big up to Felton and Shumpert they played exceptional today. We almost won IN SPITE OF MELO...

Gotta close it out at home something I guess to look forward to.

Yep I believe Game 1 or 2 when J.R. Smith was going off...I referred to him as getting his mini Mini Melo on and made another post. Most fans posts when the performances are disappointing, not when they are stellar unless the stakes become higher.

Bigger question why are you score post keeping?
