ANNND that Grunwald is waiting for Dolan to cool off and that's why he was dodging the Fex Ex man - to give the Knicks more clock and more time to convince Dolan that they should bring Lin back anyway.

I realize that is complete speculation on my part... but I think it might explain Grunwald's delaying on starting the 3-day clock. If you think about it, he was able to stall for almost 36 hours... pretty impressive if that was his goal.

Or maybe the delay was to make sure they could lock in Felton. But I'm hoping Grunwald is trying to let Dolan cool off and make one last appeal to sanity... we shall see.

It's the only explanation that really makes sense. If Grunwald doesn't want to match Lin why would he bother putting it off? I think he's trying to get Dolan to cool off and think of the good of the team instead of his ego for once.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Nope, he would still wait till the end to spite the Rockets. No one seems to be playing on a level field anymore. Walsh is gone, the three ring circus is back in tow,

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Right, the team making the offer has to confirm that the original team actually received it.

Yup. No one really knows if Lin is a potential all star or a scrub who had a good run but the Knicks certainly thought he was worth keeping. They signed Kidd as his mentor. I'm sure they were ecstatic we won the Bird rights thing.

Then it kinda looks like Lin/Morey/Lin's Agent breached the unspoken etiquette about the RFA process:

- Go shopping. Tell me what your best offer is.
- I match it and you stay or I don't match it and you leave.

and threw in

- When you tell me you're matching I'll go back and leverage that into a better offer and sign THAT one.

If any of us did this to our companies they'd be pissed too. The difference between a good businessman and a bad one is the bad one will get emotional and say "F that guy!" instead of simply asking

- Will matching the poison pill make my team better?
- Does is makes sense in terms of $?

My signature is coming true...I hope cooler heads prevail and we match although it looks like Dolan got pissed and ordered the Felton trade to happen.

Which will now leave us with 4 PGs on the roster. AWKWARD. I think Lin is done as a Knick..

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please
