Lin looked great. I would love to see him get some meaningful minutes.

Him and Novak. He could be what Shawne Williams was last season if they gave him a chance. I didn't know Lin had that good a dribble.
Sweet move to the rim.

I think that might have been the plan for Novak. Maybe this can be the game where these guys move into the rotation. They bring a lot that would help the team.

I agree, the Knicks have played well when they have expanded the rotation. Maybe not so much this season (hasn't happened much) but last season. I think it helps the team's chemistry to have more of them involved. Doesn't always work out that way but I think it works better for this roster.

Lin definitely deserves a look ahead of TD, does look a little out of control though.

i dunno, i lost count. does jeffries count twice since he's in his second stint?

Didn't Joe Johnson become JJ4, when we offered him a max deal?

We had another JJ during the Isiah years...min contract, corn rows, used to play with Indy...forget his name.

Good win. Glad we got Melo some rest with Amare/Tyson picking up some of the slack.

I don't know why some of you keep begging for Lin to get minutes (those of you that aren't joking about him needing more minutes). I like the kid too but from the minutes I've seen of him, he doesn't look ready yet to run an offense.....as soon as he came in tonight he struggled to distribute against a team that was being blown out in a game already decided (he left his feet a couple of times to make passes where no one was really there to receive the ball).

Yeah, he settled a little bit after and hit those shots but I still don't think he has shown that he is comfortable running an offense in blowout games....until he can do that, I don't think it makes sense to play him against tougher defenses at times in the game where the score is actually a lot closer.

Most definitively. At least ahead of Bibby. He had some out of control moment because he knew he only had a few minutes to impress. He looked very calm and poised in the D-League game.

It'll be interesting to see how Amare does on the 2nd game of back to backs, much less games 3&4 of 4 games in 5 days. I have a bad feeling that it's downhill from here in terms of production from Amare. He needs days off between games at this point.

There was even another one. A white kid, PG, don't think he stuck in the league.

Amare took good shots tonight--he was aggressive as was Chandler and that made a difference. Good shots for Amare=55% shooting 23-8

disagree, thought toney looked much better tonight. toney had a really good game... in non garbage time which has to count for more.

If you get to suck for as long as Toney has with unrestricted PT dictated by injury to others every one is likely to have one good game here or there. To his credit he looked to pass today, but he can't run the offense. Lin has shown he can penetrate and pass as well as slow it down at times against third string players. But unless he gets minutes as part of the second unit in non garbage time we won't know how he does running the offense in real NBA situations. Our core need is two regular PGs in the rotation. BD makes on when he is back. Lin/Bibby combination should make the second but Lin needs PT to get there.

Its not "We", its up to the coaches to determine this. We know he can play at the Dleague level, and 3rd string mop up duty but we don't know any more. He came with the benefit of no camp, and I think a sore knee.

He has Bibby ahead of him. I know its better to develop players but we talking the panic ridden knicks.

Lin could be cut. Should be Balky. Sometimes its out of respect we cut a player who may want another opportunity rather than Dleagued.

and that is the story of Lin's NBA Career. He can never get a shot pass the getting the foot in the door.

He may be a tweener.......and true, many players have the talent but not the opportunity to demonstrate. Contracts matter also.

But if he is a keeper, we could release Balky and just eat his salary.

And coach status. Maybe MDA likes him and would want to develop him. Can MDA think beyond this season? Not without an extension.

MDA if under the gun to win now, makes decisions based on that.
