They barely beat the Bobcats and Wizards and didn't look good against a tired team last night.

i disagree with this line of reasoning. you can say the wins were meaningless because they were against lesser teams and then when they beat the sixers, make an excuse for that.

you can see they came out terrible from the start on this one.

Saying that barely beating a team that had played 3 games in 3 nights is nothing to be proud about. Imagine if the sixers played us after we had played those games instead of them? What a slaughter it would have been...

I thought the Knicks played well against the Sixers but the Sixers almost won and it was their third game in three nights and the Knicks were home.

it was a win, this was a loss. team was flat tonight.

Did not say wins were meaningless...a win is a win but HOW you win matters also.

Shumpert 5-20

If this was Van Gundy, Riles or some other coach and rookie Shumpert took 20 shots the way
he played last nite & tonite he'd be lucky to get 10 shots cause Shumpert would get a seat
on the bench to explain 'Life in the NBA'.

Shumpert works hard but we do not need the agressive chucking on all parts on court
15-20 ft out & NO passing.

Shumpert used to pass the rock last week.
Guess he's happy to be back on court.
Not even Starbury chucked this much

No. "Flat" has no meaning. There is no offensive strategy to match the skill sets. We were selfish and sloppy.

Sloppy is a result of poor coaching.

Our offense lost this game. Our D wasn't great but It wasn't that bad. We could not match the points. We kept them under 95. We are not going to win games if we can't score. Too many missed shots.

As usual, players play like crap but tha fault is on the coach.
Classic.

Shumpert was overhyped to fast and he may have believed it, now we have to hope he will not be spoiled.

There is rarely if ever any in game coaching, no adjustments made. He never digs into players. Something has to give!!!

The only game I see since the blackout and it's a laughable stinker. Shump done earned himself a spot on my rookie bench for jacking 20 shots. He's a muffuhn rookie...WTF?

And they won those games with tough hard nosed defense and great rebounding.

This team isn't close to clicking on all Cylinders and anyone that has seen the team should know that. They haven't clicked on offense yet this year. There is still a lot of work to do and a lot of hope that Davis can get healthy and give the team a boost. I also think they'll bring in another vet to help, like K Mart. Too early to get too crazy about things. Gotta see how they do over time.

Fratello talked alot about style and personnel and kept emphasizing how the Suns personnel fit D'Antoni's style. This was while TNT was showing where the Knicks ranked in 3 pt pct.

1. Concerning that we've already run Melo into the ground in the soft, evenly spaced out portion of our schedule.
2. TD plays better and smarter off the bench.
3. Amare looks awful this season. No lift or explosion. I've seen him get stuffed alot. Early last season he would take it to the hole and was
unstoppable.
4. Shump really shot us out of the game early.
5. We don't consistently fight for boards
6. Transition off of rebounds form bad shots will kill any defense.
7. I don't even want to talk about our tatics tonight.

Really misterearl? Are we going back to that now after a bad loss? You don't think that this is how the team is being coached to play do you? This isn't what the coaching staff is trying to get the team to look like and you know it. It's more like poor execution.

I don't know why Shump went solo or why the team as a whole just couldn't get into any kind of offense, but it happens. That doesn't mean they aren't being told what they should be doing. The last guy that I would question on offense is MDA. I think he's earned a benefit of the doubt.
