Calling timeouts to break a teams momentum is something some coaches don't really believe in doing. Phil is obviously one of them. It doesn't mean Mike is a bad coach. I wish people would stop saying that. It's a different philosophy on how to handle it. We may not agree, but it's a coaching choice.

but to many, it is just bad coaching

I'm not sure about that one. I've played organized ball and sometimes as a team you need some direction from a coach when things turn in terms of momentum to calm you down. You realize Knicks started playing better after the forced Television timeout. Phil Jackson gets away with it cause he has had Jordan & Kobe..two competitive leaders & coaches on the court.
