Thanks, but this is better:

Contemporary Knicks fans may not realize how long it took (years) to build and nurture the beloved team that was captained by Willis Reed, in sharp contrast to what management has done in recent years, and will attempt to do again next summer: manufacture a winner in the microwave.

it's funny... the fans today would never be patient enough to build a team that way... they all want the quick fix & lose patience with any rook that doesn't come out & dominant as soon as they hit the hardwood.

k, watched the game & i came away impressed for the first time by what Sergio showed on the floor... his shot was falling which was nice to see & he attacked the basket well... cut down on some of the unnecessary flashy passing & just got the ball to the open man, which was also good to see... his defense needs a lot of work but he does play the passing lanes well... if we ever go back to running the uptempo style game then he should look much better, but for 1 game at least i was impressed with what i saw out of Sergio... hopefully this will become more of the norm rather than the aberration.

was also good to see Wilson get back into the flow of things in this game... Gallo is still nowhere to be found, which is becoming a bit worrisome... dude needs to wake up & stop taking a backseat role so much... we drafted him #6 to be a potential star, he needs to take that to heart & start being more aggressive looking for his shot like Wilson was last night... coincidentally T-Mac took a backseat in the offense & let Wilson do his thing while he orchestrated the offense & hooked up nicely w/D Lee on some P&R's... T-Mac really is a terrific passer, i gotta give it to him... if only he could stay healthy, but doesn't look promising... Eddie took less shots last night too, which was good to see him not just chucking up shots the way he was doing the night before.

Can't be mad losing at Boston. But I was furious once again at Mike D'Antoni. He has to be the worst 'last 2 minutes' coach I've ever seen. We can never seem to get a good shot off a time out. Either the players ignore his playcalling and don't run the designed set or D'Antoni is just dumb.

I'm starting to worry about Danilo Gallinari. He's looked awful the last few games. He looks like a complete stiff since the All-Star break. He's already down to 41% shooting this season, which is terrible for a player who does nothing but spot-up.

Sad to see Tracy McGrady. His body just doesn't allow him to do what he wants to do. But he made some nice passes.

Ditto for Sergio Rodriguez. I jumped off the couch several times amazed at his passes. I can see now why they nicknamed him Spanish Chocolate. He's a weak one on one defender but he get's some steals to make it up. His shooting seems a little underrated too.

Also impressed with Bill Walker. By far the most athletic player on the team. Those 2 dunks were sick. And he hit a three. His defense didn't seem bad either. D'Antoni needs to give him consistent minutes.

Jeez man...where do you get this crap. And wherever you did get it please put it back where you found it.

yeah, that's a reasonable projection based off 24 games... u & the other guy in this thread should start up your own psychic hotline.

It's a reasonable projection based off of all those other raw players immediately showed something. Hill showed nothing. At all. He's also pretty old already. He's just not good. And his contract hurt our 2010 plans. You put it all together and dumping him was a no brainer.

Yes, it sucks that we just used a #8 pick on him and found out he stunk and dumped him. But that's what happened.

Yes, the trade did send out a premium of assets to get it done.

Yet if you look at the whole picture, the dumping of Zach, Craw, Jeffries, Hill and their 2011s, and you see what we sent out to accomplish the entire plan in Collins, Hill (to dump himself), 2011 swap (could prove inconsequential), 2012 pick (could prove to be a below average pick)...

WE DID VERY VERY WELL. We still had Lee, Gallo, Chandler, Douglas after all of this and added Sergio and Walker.

So what is the problem? We sent out a ton of trash and used limited assets to accomplish it.

To cry over Jordan Hill and muse about building a team around him is ridiculous.

Dude's a bum. Let's move forward.

Sergio looks like a good facilitator with speed and defense. Flat out turned Duhon into DNP-CDs.

Walker looks like an Ariza type.

We did well here getting a couple of young guys in with some promise - while sending out a not-so-young raw stone handed player who took nothing seriously.

I agree with everything you said. I am extremely happy with SRdod coming here. The possibility of signing 2 Max FAs is very appealing. We still have Gallo, The Mayor and TD. What a pleasant surprise Bill Walker turned out to be. I can't wait to see Giddens lace em up.

i have never once mused about building a team around Jordan Hill & i'm not crying over him, i'd appreciate it if u wouldn't portray other people's opinions as my own, i'm pretty sure you wouldn't appreciate it... the point is that u can't blindly claim he's a bust off what he showed this season because he never got a fair shake to show much of anything... other rooks are showing things in the NBA because they were given a chance... your entire argument is based off your own bias against ever drafting him to begin with... this is essentially the core of everyone's argument who's ragged on his selection from the beginning, all the idiots booing the pick before they ever saw the kid play just because we didn't get the guy everyone had their hearts set on in Curry, Jennings or whoever else.

u wanna tell me to get over it, i think u need to follow ur own advice & get over the fact that we didn't take the guys you wanted... hell, i wanted Demar Derozan in the draft but i have never once cried about Donnie Walsh not taking the kid... there is no one on this forum or even working in the NBA that can definitively pronounce a 22 year old rookie prospect a bust after 24 games of sporadic action, i'm sorry to break the news but that's just a fact... i don't even care anymore than we included Hill to dump Fishlips' sorry ass... if that was the price we had to pay, so be it... the Rockets' GM obviously saw enough in Jordan Hill that he made it a point to ask for him to be included in the trade & no one around here is doubting Morey's eye for talent.

i just have a problem with cats pronouncing this kid to be a bust before they ever saw him play any appreciable amount of minutes & they pounce on guys like Sergio & Bill Walker with crazy ass comparisons to established players in the NBA like Nash & Ariza... when u had guys making Amare comparisons to Jordan Hill on other forums u were on here having a damn conniption over it.
