Truth was that the Knicks were trying to make the playoffs last season to give the pick to the Jazz. So it is kind of a fail on both regimes part. So instead of giving up the pick last year and drafting Hill. The Knicks could actually have their own pick this year in a much better draft. So trading Hill was a double hit on Walsh for not giving up the pick last year. Not too many guys will get on Walsh about it though. Also, on a side note, the reason why the Jazz have the pick is that one Mike D'Antoni traded it away from the Suns. So instead of the Suns getting that pick, the Jazz now have it.
