the improved defense was because of the nate benching and the better ball movement on offense.

nate playing out of his mind right now. hey, if he plays this well - drives to the hoop and passes, he deserves to be the starting point guard. what can i say? this might be the best game of nate's life.

A) I think Robinson's 45 or 41 point games might be in the running for his best game ever.

B) The whole "The Knicks had a good record in December because Nate Robinson was benched" is backwards reasoning.

C) Nate Robinson was one of the few Knicks producing and contributing during November. The Kncism started winning because t=other players stepped up, not because Robinson stepped off.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Congrats to Nate. December was a rough month for him. He finally got his chance and delivered.

NJPlayer - why can't a fan enjoy a win without playing amateur GM?

look, nate is a pure scoring talent. but even during his brilliant game you saw some of the stuff d'antoni hates. nate overdribbling. nate not passing. nate dominating the ball. did it work? yes, tonight. but unless he's scoring 40ppg it's not going to work every night.

he needs to learn to play team ball, because we need the stuff he can bring - penetration, scoring, shooting, etc.

sigh.

still cannot wait to hear d'antoni tonight...

Give Nate credit for keeping himself in the kind of shape that would allow him to play like this, and give MDA credit not only for riding Nate, but for keeping in the lineup that got them back in the game and then gave them the lead and the win.

Not if you realize where Duhon was at in both games.

Nate played focused and determined basketball

The Mayor was clutch

after a 1-9 start where everyone was jumping ship I'll take it

happy Nate year

the Hawks announcers are speechless

misterearl - I completely enjoyed that! As a fan though I think it's safe to say that everything we've been doing and are going to do has to be geared towards this offseason.

Nate can be a HUGE part of us getting something for it...but I'll give the guy credit, great game tonight.

Very true. Folks stand around a lot when Nate is shaking and baking, even though he managed 8 assists.

they were 3-14 with him playing and 9-6 with him benched. look a little closer at the game log.

Well looking closely at this game..One would say the Knicks wouldn't be in the game without Nate...

yup, and nate is choosing shots better and has his season high for assists and is motivated. and he's not crowing like a fool either. looks like maybe the coach got through to him?

ur right..It must be the coach brilliant benching and timely insertion into this game...P.S. Knicks might win this and Nate is playing...

It wasn't Nates fault that we were losing while he was playing nor was his benching the main reason why we started winning. MDA had a somewhat winning combination going on while Nate was onthe banch and he continued to go with it until he started to faulter, as it did the last couple of games. Jus like tonight, Lee and Duhon was benched while Nate, Gallo, JJ, Wil, and Al hleped brign the Knicks back. Coaches coach to win.....

Nate's style of baketball reminds me of that All Star Game a few years ago where the East came back with Iverson, Marbury, and Carter...guys like him you can catch lightning in a bottle with and they can even carry you on occastion but you're NOT going to consistently win with them.
