MEMPHIS' draft came out pretty well IMO
franchise PG of the future = Ricky Rubio solid SG complimentary starter = Dionte Christmas quality PF off the bench = Josh Heytvelt After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Anyway, if Memphis walked away with Rubio (and managed to get him to the US) they'd have a good looking squad with some good young guards to trade for bigger players.
Rubio/Mayo/Gay/Gasol is a good young core. If I were running Memphis, I might ask Rubio to stay in Spain another year or two. They aren't in dire need of a PG right now and Rubio will probably need to finish puberty anyway. You know I gonna spin wit it

i think if you're MEM u need to cash in on the hype machine & bring Rubio to the states (that is if he would change his mind & play for MEM to begin with)... i think they'll take Thabeet but i just picked who i would have taken if i were picking #2

TMS, isn't it your pick?
Alan Hahn:
Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Posted by TMS: I can see it both ways. I mean, if you are a small market team, why not let him become a real star and have his own following before bringing him over? Not sure if he is 'superstar' status over there just yet. On the other hand, why not make him a star here? I don't know. I think Memphis trades the pick. You know I gonna spin wit it

Posted by EwingsGlass:Posted by TMS: if i were them i'd trade the pick too, cuz i don't think Rubio would wanna play for us if we took him so that would be a wasted pick, & Thabeet's got all kinds of concerns for me that high in the draft... i'd move down w/the Knicks to #8 & hope that Jordan Hill or Stephen Curry falls to me at #8 if i were MEM. The winningest player in college basketball history (and god knows they need some of that) Robert Dozier, PF, Memphis. [Edited by - nyk4ever on 06-11-2009 6:54 PM] "OMG - did we just go on a two-trade-wining-streak?" -SupremeCommander

Since 43 is just a pick away, again, to keep this going:
The Miami Heat's draft board is. 1) Dante Cunningham 2) Jeff Adrien http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!
